God is soeverein.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cEn wij weten dat alles meewerkt ten goede voor hen die God liefhebben, voor hen die geroepen zijn volgens Zijn plan.\u201d <\/em>
Romeinen 8:28<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

Wanneer we zeggen dat God soeverein is, verklaren we dat Hij, krachtens Zijn scheppingskracht over al het leven en de werkelijkheid, en Zijn alwetende, almachtige en welwillende heerschappij, inderdaad de Heer der heren, de Koning der koningen is en absolute controle heeft over tijd en eeuwigheid. Sterker nog, de soevereiniteit van God is wat de God van de Bijbel onderscheidt van alle andere religies, waarheidsclaims en filosofie\u00ebn.<\/p>

Wat betekent dit voor jou en mij? Als ik denk aan Gods soevereiniteit, is de zin die ik het mooist vind: God heeft alles onder controle. Als je geliefde in een ziekenhuisbed ligt, heeft God alles onder controle. Als de economie \u2013 nationaal of persoonlijk \u2013 achteruitgaat, heeft God alles onder controle. Dat geeft zoveel troost.<\/p>

Als heerser over alles zal er niets in ons leven komen dat God niet heeft beschikt of toegestaan. En er is niets dat in ons leven zal komen dat Hij, als we bereid zijn op Hem te vertrouwen, niet ten goede kan keren. Dat is de waarheid die ons in het vers van vandaag wordt voorgehouden.<\/p>

Alleen God heeft de macht om alle gebeurtenissen, situaties, mensen, gebeden en alles wat betrokken is bij de moeilijke omstandigheden waarmee we te maken hebben, samen te brengen ten goede van hen die op Hem vertrouwen. Hij zou deze belofte nooit kunnen nakomen als Hij niet alles wist en geen onbeperkte macht bezat. Daarom kan Hij, als soevereine Koning van het universum, deze belofte doen \u00e9n nakomen.<\/p>

Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong>
Wanneer je in een moeilijke situatie bent en je bidt en God om hulp vraagt, bedenk dan tot wie je bidt. Hij is de God die macht heeft over het hele universum \u2013 en Hij is ook de God die oneindig veel van je houdt en diep voor je zorgt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
