Dit hoofdstuk herinnert ons eraan dat waar de eerste mens, Adam, faalde, de Heer Jezus alles heeft teruggewonnen wat hij verloren had. Het eerste hoofdstuk van Hebree\u00ebn liet ons zien dat de Heer Jezus beter is dan de engelen; toch laat dit vers ons zien dat Hij een weinig lager dan de engelen gemaakt werd, om de dood te lijden, opdat Hij de dood voor ons zou proeven. Maar hoe zien we Hem nu? Hij is nu gekroond met heerlijkheid en eer. Hij is nu de Mens in heerlijkheid, de Mens aan Gods rechterhand! De Mens die God graag eert!<\/p><p>We zien deze gezegende Persoon als de Zoon des Mensen (2:6). Dit is een messiaanse term die ons herinnert aan alles wat Hem te wachten staat op die komende dag. We zien Hem als Jezus, want Hij is de Redder (2:9). We zien Hem als de Heiligmaker die ons afzondert voor de glorie van God, en als de Aanvoerder van onze redding (2:10-11). We zien Hem ook als de Apostel en Hogepriester van onze belijdenis (3:1). In de rest van hoofdstuk twee wordt Hij aan ons voorgesteld als Degene die nu vele zonen tot heerlijkheid brengt, die zich niet schaamt ons Zijn broeders te noemen, die gezien wordt terwijl Hij de zijnen leidt in de aanwezigheid van Zijn Vader (2:12-13). Maar nu, vanwege Zijn Mensheid, is Hij een &quot;barmhartige en trouwe Hogepriester in de zaken die God betreffen, om verzoening te doen voor de zonden van het volk&quot; (2:17).<\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-ExtraText\"><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/><em>Uw naam omvat elke genade.<\/em><br \/><em>Dat God als mens kon laten zien;<\/em><br \/><em>Alleen Hij kon het volledig traceren.<\/em><br \/><em>Een goddelijk leven hier beneden.<\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u2013 M.
