Sterker nog, het boek Openbaring is ingeklemd tussen zegeningen: hier in hoofdstuk 1 vers 3 en in hoofdstuk 22 vers 7: &quot;Zie, Ik kom spoedig! Gezegend is hij die de woorden van de profetie van dit boek bewaart.&quot; Er zijn maar liefst zeven zegeningen door dit boek heen geweven die zeer bemoedigend zijn om te overwegen. Er zijn zegeningen voor ons nu (1:3), voor hen tijdens de verdrukking (14:13; 16:15; 19:9), voor hen tijdens het Millennium (20:6) en voor hen in de eeuwige staat (22:7, 14). Dit alles herinnert ons eraan dat onze God een zegener is, zelfs in een boek waarin veel oordeel voorkomt!<\/p><p>Maar laten we even teruggaan en onze tekst en deze drievoudige zegen eens nader bekijken. Ten eerste: &quot;Gezegend is hij die <em>leest<\/em>.Dit woord betekent hardop lezen. Wat een zegen om dit boek en elk deel van Gods Woord hardop te lezen en te horen! Paulus zei tegen Timote\u00fcs: &quot;Let op het lezen totdat ik kom&quot; (1 Tim. 4:13). Hier zien we hetzelfde idee van het openbaar lezen van Gods Woord. We mogen het belang van het openbaar lezen van Gods Woord nooit onderschatten.<\/p><p>Vervolgens is er de zegen van <em>gehoor<\/em> Het Woord, wat het belang benadrukt van wat we zojuist zeiden over het openbaar voorlezen van het Woord. Maar het lezen en horen van het Woord van God is niet genoeg; er moet ook een bereidheid zijn om <em>houden<\/em> Het Woord, ernaar luisteren, het gehoorzamen en ernaar leven. Denk aan degenen in het boek Nehemia die urenlang stonden te luisteren naar het Woord van God dat hardop werd voorgelezen, met als resultaat dat het een werkelijk effect op hen had (Nehemia 9:3). <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">Moge dit zowel in onze priv\u00e9leven als tijdens onze openbare bijeenkomsten voor ons gelden!<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<br \/><\/strong>De openbaring van Gods Woord geeft ons leven en licht.
