En Hij zond een engel en gaf die door aan Zijn dienaar Johannes. <br \/><strong>Openbaring 1:1<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-Text\"><p>Bij het lezen van het eerste hoofdstuk van Openbaring leren we uit de openingszin wat het doel en thema van het boek is: het is de Openbaring van Jezus Christus. De evangeli\u00ebn presenteerden de Heer Jezus als de Zoon van God die in nederigheid naar deze wereld kwam, maar het boek Openbaring beschrijft Zijn wederkomst, en vanaf het allereerste begin van het boek zien we Hem verhoogd! Wanneer we Hem in dit boek aanschouwen, zien we Hem in glorie, majesteit en macht!<\/p><p>Wat zo waardevol is om in gedachten te houden tijdens het lezen van dit boek, is dat de ongelovige wereld de Heer Jezus voor het laatst zag toen Hij aan het kruis hing. De volgende keer dat ze Hem zullen zien, is als de verheven Koning, die in glorie en majesteit zal komen.<\/p><p>In het hele boek Openbaring zien we de Heer Jezus Christus verhoogd worden, zoals Hij geopenbaard wordt door middel van liederen, po\u00ebzie, symboliek en profetie\u00ebn. Wat ons wordt voorgehouden, is de openbaring van de Heer Jezus door God de Vader. De Vader heeft er altijd behagen in gehad om Zijn Zoon aan ons te openbaren. Aan het begin van de bediening van de Heer Jezus horen we de Vader bij Zijn doop zeggen: &quot;Dit is Mijn geliefde Zoon, in wie Ik Mijn welbehagen heb&quot; (Matte\u00fcs 3:17). Halverwege Zijn drie jaar van openbare bediening horen we de Vader aankondigen: &quot;Dit is Mijn geliefde Zoon, in wie Ik Mijn welbehagen heb. Luister naar Hem!&quot; (Matte\u00fcs 17:5). En in het boek Openbaring zien we hoe God de Vader de heerlijkheid openbaart van de verhoogde Mens die zal regeren als Koning der Koningen en Heer der Heren.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-ExtraText\"><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/><em>Hij zal spoedig weer verschijnen.,<\/em><br \/><em>Dan zullen Zijn heiligen met Hem regeren;<\/em><br \/><em>Verre weerklinken de glorieuze woorden:<\/em><br \/><em>Koning der koningen en Heer der heren.<\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u2013 J.
