Een paard biedt ijdele hoop op veiligheid; het zal niemand redden door zijn grote kracht. Zie, het oog van de <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer <\/span>is de verantwoordelijkheid van hen die Hem vrezen. <br \/><strong>Psalm 33:16-18<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-Text\"><p>Waar vind je hoop? Misschien moeten we ons afvragen wat we nu eigenlijk bedoelen met het woord hoop. Wat is hoop? Webster&#039;s woordenboek definieert hoop als: &quot;een verlangen koesteren met verwachting, willen dat iets gebeurt, vertrouwen hebben.&quot; Maar wanneer hoop in de Bijbel wordt gebruikt, betekent het zoveel meer dan dat. In de Bijbel is hoop de stellige verwachting van wat God heeft beloofd, en de kracht ervan ligt in Zijn trouw.<\/p><p>We leven in een wereld zonder hoop. Zoveel mensen om je heen leven zonder enige hoop voor de toekomst! Zoveel mensen lijden dagelijks onder gevoelens van leegte, angst en hopeloosheid.<\/p><p>Waarom heerst er zoveel hopeloosheid in de wereld van vandaag? Dat komt doordat mannen en vrouwen zich ofwel hebben afgewend van de beloften van God, ofwel ze uit het oog hebben verloren. Voor hen die geloof hebben in een heilige God, die Zijn Zoon naar de wereld zond, niet om hen te veroordelen maar om hen te redden, is er ware hoop! Geloof in deze liefdevolle God door Zijn Zoon is het fundament waarop een leven gebouwd kan worden. Wanneer we op God hopen, richten we onze blik op Zijn beloften in plaats van op onze eigen omstandigheden. We baseren onze hoop op wie onze God is en wat Hij heeft beloofd, &quot;in de hoop op het eeuwige leven, dat God, die niet kan liegen, heeft beloofd voordat de tijd begon&quot; (Titus 1:2). We baseren onze hoop op Zijn Boek der Beloften, het onveranderlijke Woord van God! We moeten onze blik richten boven onze omstandigheden en voorbij deze wereld, om de hoop op de hemel, de hoop op de opstanding, de hoop om gelijk aan Christus te zijn, niet te zien als iets wat zou kunnen gebeuren, maar als garanties van een liefdevolle God. Zoals vaak wordt gezegd: &quot;God zegt het, ik geloof het, en daarmee is de zaak afgedaan!&quot;\u201c<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Het Woord van God is de bron en het fundament van hoop voor het christelijke leven.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Living a Life of Hope No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
