Mijn God, mijn God, waarom hebt U mij verlaten? Waarom bent U zo ver van mij verwijderd, waarom luistert U niet naar mijn geklaag?
Psalm 22:1<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>

Vier psalmen die profetisch spreken over de dood van de Heer Jezus Christus, bekijken Zijn dood elk op een andere manier. Psalm 40 is de brandofferpsalm, die zich richt op Gods bedoelingen; Psalm 69 is de schuldofferpsalm, die de straf benadrukt; en Psalm 22 beschrijft het lijden van de Heer als het zondoffer. Hoewel er misschien niet \u00e9\u00e9n specifieke psalm is die parallel loopt met het vredesoffer, zijn er verschillende die de betekenis ervan weergeven, zoals Psalm 85 of Psalm 118.<\/p>

Psalm 22 is de eerste van drie psalmen die samen de Heer Jezus openbaren als de Herder. In Psalm 22 zien we Hem als de Goede Herder, die Zijn leven geeft voor de schapen (Joh. 10). Psalm 23 openbaart Hem als de Grote Herder, die voor Zijn schapen zorgt (Heb. 13:20-21). Psalm 24 presenteert Hem als de Opperherder, die in heerlijkheid terugkeert (1 Petr. 5:4). Anderen noemen deze psalmen de psalmen van "het Kruis, de Herdersstaf en de Kroon".\u201c<\/p>

Deze psalm is verdeeld in twee hoofdgedeelten: de lijdende Verlosser (vv. 1-21a) en de zegeningen die voortvloeien uit Zijn lijden (vv. 21b-31); of, zoals Petrus zou zeggen, "het lijden van Christus en de heerlijkheid die daarop zou volgen" (1 Petrus 1:11).<\/p>

In het gedeelte over de Lijdende Verlosser zien we het lijden van de Verlosser op drie manieren. Ten eerste door de heilige handen van God (vv. 1-6a), vervolgens door de hatelijke handen van mensen (vv. 6b-18), en ten slotte door de vijandige handen van Satan (vv. 19-21a).<\/p>

Of we deze psalm nu symbolisch, historisch, profetisch of vanuit een messiaans perspectief bekijken, we moeten onze schoenen uittrekken, want we bevinden ons op heilige grond! Lees deze psalm langzaam en aandachtig, en sta even stil om lof te brengen aan Hem die u liefhad en Zichzelf voor u heeft opgeofferd op Golgotha!<\/p>
