Ik heb uw gerechtigheid niet in mijn hart verborgen; ik heb uw trouw en uw verlossing verkondigd; ik heb uw goedheid en uw waarheid niet voor de grote vergadering verborgen gehouden.<br \/><strong>Psalm 40:9-10<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-Text\"><p>Deze verzen behoren tot het tweede deel van deze messiaanse psalm, waarin de Heer Jezus wordt voorgesteld als het brandoffer. Hier vinden we de taal van Iemand die gekomen is om de wil van de Vader te doen, en we zien een vijfvoudige boodschap die niet alleen gericht is tot de grote vergadering, maar tot de hele mensheid.<\/p><p>Ten eerste verklaart Hij dat Hij het goede nieuws van gerechtigheid verkondigde. De Heer Jezus hield van gerechtigheid, Hij leefde naar gerechtigheid, Hij predikte gerechtigheid en Zijn volbrachte werk aan het kruis bevredigde de gerechtigheid van God. Het was Christus Jezus &quot;die God heeft aangesteld als een verzoening door Zijn bloed, door het geloof, om Zijn gerechtigheid te tonen&quot; (Romeinen 3:25). Dit is het thema van de brief aan de Romeinen.<\/p><p>Vervolgens kwam Hij naar voren om de trouw van God te verkondigen. Jeremia kon zeggen: &quot;Groot is Uw trouw.&quot; In het Nieuwe Testament lezen we meermaals over de trouw van onze God.<\/p><p>Ten derde heeft de Heer Jezus de verlossing van de Heer verkondigd! Dit is een verlossing van de straf op de zonde, van de macht van de zonde, en binnenkort ook van de aanwezigheid van de zonde!<\/p><p>De laatste twee proclamaties gaan over liefde en waarheid. Gedurende het hele leven van onze Heer zien we Hem het hart van de Vader openbaren in Zijn liefde en waarheid, een perfecte balans van beide! Liefde kan nooit losstaan van waarheid! Het vloeit voort uit het hart van een God die waarachtig is (Joh. 3:33), door Zijn Zoon die waarheid is (Joh. 14:6), en wordt aan ons geopenbaard door de Geest van Waarheid (Joh. 14:17).
