Abram had de Heer ervaren toen hij begon te <em>wandeling<\/em> door geloof in hoofdstukken 12-13. Hij had het belang van vertrouwen op zijn God geleerd in hoofdstukken 14-15, toen hij <em>oorlog gevoerd<\/em> door geloof. Maar nu, in hoofdstuk 16-17, vinden Abram en zijn vrouw het moeilijk om <em>wachten<\/em> op de Heer door geloof. God had het land aan Abram en zijn nakomelingen beloofd, maar hij en zijn vrouw werden ouder en hadden nog steeds geen kinderen. In hoofdstuk 16 doet Sarai wat wij vaak doen: ze neemt het heft in eigen handen. Ze geeft haar Egyptische dienstmaagd Hagar aan Abram, maar dit leidt alleen maar tot meer problemen!<\/p><p>Vaak doen zich in ons leven situaties voor waarin we proberen dingen zelf op te lossen, maar de situatie alleen maar ingewikkelder maken. De Heer wil niet dat we op onze eigen vindingrijkheid of kracht vertrouwen. Hij wil dat we geloven dat niets te moeilijk voor Hem is en dat Hij in staat is om in te grijpen en de hindernis om te zetten in een kans om Zijn glorie te tonen! De Heer openbaart Zich aan Abram als de Almachtige God! Deze naam bestaat uit twee woorden., <em>El<\/em> over macht gesproken en <em>Shaddai<\/em>, wat de gecombineerde gedachte van alle macht en alle toereikendheid in zich draagt. De Heer stond op het punt Abram te vertellen dat Sarai zelfs op 90-jarige leeftijd nog een zoon zou krijgen!<\/p><p>Als je voor een belangrijke beslissing staat of in een onmogelijke situatie terecht bent gekomen, loop dan niet op de Heer vooruit. Wacht tot Hij Zijn kracht en macht openbaart! Abram kreeg de opdracht om voor de Heer te wandelen en onberispelijk te zijn.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Wanneer je voor een onmogelijke situatie staat, wandel dan voor het aangezicht van de Heer, volledig aan Hem toegewijd, en Hij zal laten zien dat Hij een volkomen toereikende God voor je is in tijden van nood!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Waiting Upon God
