Perspectief is alles. Dit geldt ook voor ons geestelijk leven. De vraag die we ons vandaag moeten stellen is: &quot;Hoe zien we de Heer?&quot; Sommigen zien Hem als een goed mens, anderen als een verworpen mens. Hij was inderdaad al deze dingen. Pilatus bracht Hem voor hen en verklaarde: &quot;Zie de Mens!&quot; (Johannes 19:5)<\/p><p>Maar wat Pilatus niet zag, en wat geen enkele ongelovige ziet, is de verrezen Mens! Onze Heer is niet langer de Mens aan het Kruis; Hij is de verrezen, hemelvaartende, verheerlijkte Mens, die aan de rechterhand van de Majesteit in de hemel zit!<\/p><p>In Hebree\u00ebn 2:9 lezen we: &quot;Maar wij zien Jezus, die een tijdje lager dan de engelen was, gekroond met heerlijkheid en eer, vanwege zijn lijden en dood.&quot; We moeten Hem zien als de Man die God zelf heeft uitverkoren, die zijn leven voor ons gaf op Golgotha, die is opgestaan uit de dood, naar de hemel is gevaren en verheerlijkt is. Voordat we Hem als ons doel kunnen zien in de christelijke race, moeten we zelf aan die race deelnemen!<\/p><p>Hoe zie jij de Heer? Hoe intiem is jouw beeld van Hem? Is Hij voor jou simpelweg een goed mens? Sommige Grieken, zoals beschreven in Johannes 12:21-32, verlangden ernaar om &#039;Jezus te zien&#039;, en de Heer verhoorde hun gebed. Hij was de graankorrel die in de aarde viel en stierf, en omdat Hij stierf, heeft Hij veel vrucht voortgebracht in de opstanding. Zie jij Hem vandaag als Degene die van de aarde is verhoogd? Trekt Zijn opofferende liefde jou tot Zich? Kun je in je hart zeggen dat Hij de Zoon van God is, die mij liefhad en Zichzelf voor mij heeft gegeven? Zo ja, Halleluja!
