En jullie zullen de waarheid kennen, en de waarheid zal jullie vrijmaken.<br \/><strong>Johannes 8:31-32<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"20\" data-end=\"474\">In Johannes 8 zei de Heer Jezus:, <em data-start=\"58\" data-end=\"180\">\u201cU zult de waarheid kennen, en de waarheid zal u vrijmaken.\u201d<\/em> De waarheid maakt ons vrij! Velen van ons hebben die vrijheid ervaren door het Woord van God. Maar let op wat vers 36 daaraan toevoegt: <em data-start=\"303\" data-end=\"368\">\u201cAls de Zoon u dus bevrijdt, zult u werkelijk vrij zijn.\u201d<\/em> We worden bevrijd door de waarheid \u2013 door wat Gods Woord over ons zegt \u2013 niet door de leugens die de vijand in onze gedachten plant.<\/p><p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"759\">Onze identiteit wordt bepaald door de waarheid, niet door onze mislukkingen uit het verleden. Romeinen 6 herinnert ons eraan dat we met Christus gestorven zijn en nu een nieuwe identiteit in Hem delen. In Romeinen 7 zien we de worsteling van de gelovige, maar in Romeinen 8 ontdekken we nieuwe kracht om een overwinnend leven te leiden. De ketenen kunnen verbroken worden!<\/p><p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"1157\">Wat is het verschil tussen Johannes 8 vers 32 en vers 36? Het ene zegt dat de waarheid je vrijmaakt; het andere zegt dat de Zoon je bevrijdt. Het is mogelijk om vrij verklaard te worden, maar niet te leven als iemand die werkelijk bevrijd is. Stel je een man voor die een levenslange gevangenisstraf uitzit en gratie krijgt. Hij is wettelijk vrij, maar als hij nooit de gevangenis verlaat, zal hij de vreugde van de vrijheid niet ervaren. Iemand moet hem eruit leiden.<\/p><p data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1445\">De Heer Jezus is Degene die ons bij de hand neemt en ons uit de gevangenis leidt. De ketenen die ons eens gevangen hielden, zijn verbroken. Als de Zoon je bevrijdt, zul je werkelijk vrij zijn! Hij is de Ketenbreker. Het is Zijn kracht die de boeien verbrijzelt en ons in ware vrijheid brengt.<\/p><p data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1445\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De gelovige is bevrijd van de slavernij van de zonde en kan door de kracht van de Heilige Geest overwinnend leven in de vrijheid die Christus hem heeft gebracht.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free Indeed If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
