Hoe ondoorgrondelijk zijn Zijn oordelen en Zijn wegen, die niet te achterhalen zijn!\u201d<\/em><br \/><em><strong>Romeinen 11:33<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"111\" data-end=\"742\">Hoe reageren we op Gods wegen? Stellen we vragen over de manier waarop Hij in ons leven werkt? Maleachi bleef het volk uitdagen met deze vraag (Mal. 2:17-3:6). Velen van ons hebben zich afgevraagd: &quot;Waarom overkomen goede mensen slechte dingen, en waarom overkomen slechte mensen goede dingen?&quot; We kunnen gemakkelijk net als de mensen in Maleachi&#039;s tijd worden, die zichzelf rechtvaardigden en God de schuld gaven van hun omstandigheden. Maar we moeten niet vergeten wat God zegt: <em data-start=\"543\" data-end=\"727\">\u201cMijn gedachten zijn niet jullie gedachten, en mijn wegen zijn niet jullie wegen\u2026 Want zoals de hemel hoger is dan de aarde, zo zijn mijn wegen hoger dan jullie wegen, en mijn gedachten hoger dan jullie gedachten.\u201d<\/em> (Jesaja 55:8-9).<\/p><p data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"1298\">De mensen vroegen:, <em data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"794\">\u201cWaar is de God van de gerechtigheid?\u201d<\/em> Maleachi antwoordde door twee boodschappers te presenteren: Johannes de Doper en de Heer Jezus. Johannes de Doper (Mal. 3:1; Matt. 11:10; Mark 1:2; Luk. 7:27) had het unieke voorrecht om te prediken aan het einde van het Oude Testament en het begin van het Nieuwe Testament. Hoe beantwoordde Johannes hun vraag over Gods rechtvaardigheid? Hij wees Isra\u00ebl op Jezus als het Lam van God (Johannes 1:29-31). Toen Jezus in deze wereld kwam, kwam Hij als de Plaatsvervanger voor zondaren. Aan het kruis voldeed Hij volledig aan Gods rechtvaardigheid (Rom. 3:21-26).<\/p><p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1660\">De tweede boodschapper die in Maleachi 3:1 wordt genoemd, is de Heer zelf. Maleachi 3:2-6 spreekt over de wederkomst van de Heer, wanneer Hij zal terugkeren om te regeren als Koning der koningen. Hij zal op een onverwacht moment komen (Matthe\u00fcs 24:36) om een onvoorbereid en onrein volk te zuiveren. Op die dag zal de Heer Jezus rechtvaardig oordeel vellen over al wat onrechtvaardig is (Maleachi 3:5).<\/p><p data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"2027\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Hoe beantwoordt dit hun vraag over Gods rechtvaardigheid? Maleachi herinnert hen eraan dat God handelt volgens een goddelijk plan dat wij niet volledig kunnen doorgronden. Hij ziet het hele plaatje, terwijl wij slechts een momentopname zien. Wanneer er vragen rijzen, moeten we bedenken dat God God is.
