\u201cNeem mijn juk op je en leer van Mij\u2026\u201d<\/em>
Matte\u00fcs 11:29<\/strong><\/p>

Het woord discipel<\/em> middelen leerling<\/em>\u2014iemand die zijn Meester volgt en navolgt. In Lucas 6:40 lezen we:, \u201cEen leerling staat niet boven zijn leraar, maar iedereen die volmaakt is opgeleid, zal als zijn leraar zijn.\u201d<\/em> De Heer Jezus Christus heeft niet alleen geestelijke waarheid onderwezen, Hij heeft die ook geleefd. Hij heeft geestelijke discipline in Zijn eigen leven toegepast. Zo zien we bijvoorbeeld in Marcus 1:35-42 dat Zijn momenten van afzondering en gebed werden gevolgd door geestelijke kracht.<\/p>

Als we het ritme van het leven van onze Meester in de evangeli\u00ebn bestuderen, zien we dat Hij gekenmerkt werd door de geestelijke disciplines van gebed, het kennen van het Woord, het mediteren daarover en het bewust doorbrengen van tijd in stilte en afzondering. Net zoals de Heer Jezus zich terugtrok op afgelegen plaatsen om Zijn Vader te ontmoeten, zo moeten ook wij \u2013 Zijn volgelingen \u2013 een vast moment van stilte inlassen, waarin we ons afzonderen van het lawaai, de drukte en de eisen van de dag om stil te zijn en naar Zijn stem te luisteren.<\/p>

Jesaja 50:4-6 beschrijft profetisch de gemeenschap van de Heer met Zijn Vader. Het laat ons zien dat Hij vroeg opstond, aandachtig luisterde, alleen sprak wat de Vader Hem opdroeg en Zijn lichaam volledig ter beschikking stelde voor de dienst. Hij is ons volmaakte voorbeeld.<\/p>
