Een vervanger<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cToen sloeg Abraham zijn ogen op en zag achter hem een ram die met zijn hoorns in een struikgewas verstrikt zat. Abraham ging ernaartoe, nam de ram en offerde hem als brandoffer in plaats van zijn zoon.\u201d<\/em>
Genesis 22:13<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

In Genesis 22 lezen we het bekende verhaal van Abraham die zijn geliefde zoon Isaak mee de berg op nam om Hem te aanbidden. Abraham droeg het vuur en Isaak het hout, maar ze hadden geen lam. God had Abraham opgedragen zijn zoon te offeren, een beproeving van Abrahams geloof, gehoorzaamheid en liefde voor God.<\/p>

In vers 7 vraagt Isaak:, \u201cWaar is het lam voor het brandoffer?\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Dit is de eerste keer dat het woord 'lam' in de Bijbel voorkomt! We kunnen ons alleen maar voorstellen hoe diep deze vraag Abrahams hart moet hebben geraakt toen hij antwoordde., \u201cMijn zoon, God zal Zelf het lam verschaffen voor het brandoffer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Isaac stelde de vraag, en Johannes de Doper beantwoordde die jaren later met de volgende verklaring:<\/p>

\u201cZie, het Lam van God, dat de zonde van de wereld wegneemt!\u201d<\/em> Johannes 1:29<\/p><\/blockquote>

Toen Abraham Isaak op het altaar legde en het mes ophief \u2013 op het punt om het in zijn geliefde zoon te steken \u2013 riep de Engel des Heren hem vanuit de hemel toe:, \u201cAbraham, Abraham!\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Hij antwoordde:, \u201cHier ben ik.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

En de engel zei:<\/p>

\u201c'Raak de jongen niet aan en doe hem niets aan; want nu weet ik dat je God vreest, omdat je je zoon, je enige zoon, niet aan Mij hebt onthouden.'\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Abraham sloeg zijn ogen op en zag daar achter hem een ram die met zijn hoorns vastzat in een struikgewas. Abraham nam de ram en offerde die als brandoffer in plaats van zijn zoon.<\/p>

Abraham noemde die plaats vervolgens 'De-Heer-Zal-Voorzien', zoals tot op de dag van vandaag gezegd wordt: \u201cOp de berg van de Heer zal het voorzien worden.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Voor Isaak was er een plaatsvervanger \u2013 die door Zijn kracht in de doornen werd gegrepen. Dit herinnert ons eraan dat de Heer Jezus, in de kracht van Zijn volmaakte liefde en gehoorzaamheid, de zonde, de dood en het graf overwon. Hij was onze plaatsvervanger.<\/p>

Het brandoffer spreekt van de heerlijkheid van de Vader, en de plaatsvervangende ram wijst op onze verlossing.<\/p>

\u201c\u2026wetende dat u niet bent verlost met vergankelijke dingen, zoals zilver of goud\u2026 maar met het kostbare bloed van Christus, als van een lam zonder gebrek en zonder vlek.\u201d <\/em>1 Petrus 1:18-19<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

\u201cWant Christus heeft ook eens geleden voor de zonden, de rechtvaardige voor de onrechtvaardigen, opdat Hij ons tot God zou brengen\u2026\u201d <\/em>1 Petrus 3:18<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong>
