Soms maken we er zelfs grapjes over., <em data-start=\"255\" data-end=\"309\">\u201cHeb geduld met mij \u2013 God is nog niet klaar met mij!\u201d<\/em> Maar hoewel we graag zien dat anderen geduldig met ons zijn, zijn we niet altijd bereid om datzelfde geduld aan hen te tonen.<\/p><p data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"603\">Maar als we vervuld zijn met de Heilige Geest, zal geduld \u2013 ofwel lankmoedigheid \u2013 een van de vruchten van die Geest zijn.<em data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"563\">Galaten 5:22<\/em>). We worden aangespoord om <em data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"602\">Efezi\u00ebrs 4:2-3<\/em>:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"766\"><p data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"766\"><em data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"766\">\u201cIn alle nederigheid en zachtmoedigheid, met lankmoedigheid, elkaar verdragend in liefde, en ernaar strevend de eenheid van de Geest te bewaren in de band van de vrede.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"1016\">Als we gedreven worden door de liefde die God in ons hart heeft gelegd, dan moet die liefde tot uiting komen in onze relaties. Twee van de eigenschappen die in het hoofdstuk over liefde worden genoemd (<em data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"963\">1 Korinti\u00ebrs 13<\/em>) Zijn: <em data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"989\">\u201cLiefde is geduldig\u201d<\/em> En <em data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1016\">\u201c&quot;De liefde verdraagt veel.&quot;\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1216\">Paul begreep hoe belangrijk dit was. <em data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1076\">Kolossenzen 1:9-11<\/em>, Hij bidt dat gelovigen gesterkt zullen worden voor <em data-start=\"1128\" data-end=\"1173\">\u201cVol geduld en lankmoedigheid, met vreugde.\u201d<\/em> Later, in <em data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1204\">Kolossenzen 3:12-13<\/em>, Hij schrijft:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1444\"><p data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1444\"><em data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1444\">\u201cDaarom, als uitverkorenen van God, heiligen en geliefden, bekleed u met barmhartigheid, vriendelijkheid, nederigheid, zachtmoedigheid en geduld; verdraag elkaar en vergeef elkaar\u2026 zoals Christus u vergeven heeft, zo moet ook u doen.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1719\">Misschien is een van de redenen waarom we zoveel gebroken gezinnen, verdeelde gemeenschappen en gespannen relaties zien, dat we uit het oog zijn verloren hoe geduldig de God van geduld werkelijk is. Misschien is dat de reden waarom we zo snel geneigd zijn elkaar af te wijzen of te negeren.<\/p><p data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"1850\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Mogen we Hem steeds meer gaan zien als de God van geduld, en moge Hij ons helpen om datzelfde geduld jegens elkaar te tonen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Be Patient You also, be patient.James 5:8 We have all experienced the patience of God.
