You Crown The Year With Your Goodness<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cYou crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.\u201d<\/em>
\u202d\u202dPsalms\u202c \u202d65\u202c:\u202d11\u202c<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

How beautiful that is. This idea of crowning the year<\/em>\u2014surrounding the year with God\u2019s goodness\u2014and that His path drips with abundance is so powerful.<\/p>

A friend of mine once wrote a calendar devotional and titled it “Wagon Tracks” based on this very verse. He reflected on the phrase: \u201cYour paths drip with abundance.\u201d<\/em> He imagined the idea of tracks left by a wagon overflowing with fruit\u2014abundant fruit spilling over, juices flowing down into the wheels\u2014and as the wagon moves forward, it leaves behind trails of abundance. That\u2019s the concept here.<\/p>

And indeed, as we look back over 2025, we must say, \u201cSurely, goodness and mercy have followed me all the days of my life.\u201d <\/em>Looking back, we can say, \u201cHitherto has the Lord helped us.\u201d <\/em>As I reflect, I have to say, \u201cThe Lord has been with us each step of the way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

That\u2019s what the psalmist is saying here: \u201cLord, You\u2019ve surrounded us. You\u2019ve crowned us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

And not only that, but this passage continues with a beautiful picture:<\/p>

\u201cThey drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
And the little hills rejoice on every side.
The pastures are clothed with flocks;
The valleys also are covered with grain;
They shout for joy, they also sing.\u201d<\/em><\/blockquote>

He clothes the hills, He covers the meadows, He fills the valleys. How beautiful it is to witness the abundance of God\u2019s blessing!<\/p>

Yes, as we come to the end of a year, maybe there has been loss. Maybe there has been tragedy. Maybe you\u2019ve faced difficulties along the way. But even through all of that, you can look back and say: \u201cThe Lord has been with us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

As the hymn writer once said:<\/p>

\u201cI’ve had many tears and sorrows,
I’ve had questions for tomorrow,
But through it all\u2026 through it all…\u201d<\/em><\/blockquote>

And that\u2019s the truth\u2014we can face tomorrow because this God is with us.<\/p>

Yes, He crowns the year with His goodness. <\/em>He is a good God. He is a loving Father.<\/p>

So, as you think about the Lord\u2019s blessings and prepare to enter 2026, I want to encourage you to do a few things: Review the Past Year Take time to look back. Remember God\u2019s faithfulness and the ways He\u2019s provided and led you. Reflect on His Goodness <\/span>Let gratitude rise in your heart as you reflect on all He\u2019s done\u2014even in hard seasons. <\/span>Refocus for What\u2019s Ahead <\/span>Set your heart again to love the Lord your God with <\/span>all your heart<\/span>, <\/span>all your soul<\/span>, and <\/span>all your might<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>
