Zij leert ons uit te zien naar de gezegende hoop en de glorieuze verschijning van onze grote God en Verlosser Jezus Christus.\u201c<\/p><p data-start=\"949\" data-end=\"1145\">Paulus had twee dingen voor ogen. Ten eerste herinnert hij ons eraan dat de hoop van elke gelovige de wederkomst van de Heer Jezus Christus voor de zijnen is. Hij schetst hoe dit eruitziet in <em data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1144\">1 Thessalonicenzen 4:13-18<\/em>:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1930\"><p data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1930\">\u201cMaar ik wil niet dat jullie onwetend zijn, broeders, over hen die zijn ontslapen, opdat jullie niet treuren zoals anderen die geen hoop hebben. Want als wij geloven dat Jezus gestorven en opgestaan is, zo zal God ook hen die in Jezus ontslapen zijn, met Hem meenemen.\u201d.<br data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1393\" \/>Daarom zeggen wij u in de naam van de Heer: wij die leven en overblijven tot de wederkomst van de Heer, zullen hen die ontslapen zijn geenszins voorgaan.<br data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1554\" \/>Want de Heer zelf zal uit de hemel neerdaal met een luide roep, met de stem van een aartsengel en met de bazuin van God. En de doden in Christus zullen eerst opstaan.<br data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1719\" \/>Dan zullen wij, die nog in leven zijn, samen met hen in de wolken worden opgenomen om de Heer in de lucht te ontmoeten. En zo zullen wij voor altijd bij de Heer zijn.<br data-start=\"1877\" data-end=\"1880\" \/>Troost elkaar daarom met deze woorden.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1932\" data-end=\"2092\">Deze gebeurtenis wordt gewoonlijk de opname genoemd, wat betekent dat men snel wordt weggerukt. Het is het moment waarop Christus komt voor de zijnen, zoals Hij beloofd heeft in <em data-start=\"2078\" data-end=\"2091\">Johannes 14:1-3<\/em>:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2094\" data-end=\"2418\"><p data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2418\">\u201cLaat uw hart niet verontrust zijn; u gelooft in God, geloof ook in Mij.<br data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2171\" \/>In het huis van mijn Vader zijn vele woningen; als dat niet zo was, zou ik het u gezegd hebben. Ik ga heen om een plaats voor u te bereiden.<br data-start=\"2287\" data-end=\"2290\" \/>En als Ik heenga en een plaats voor jullie bereid, zal Ik terugkomen en jullie tot Mij nemen, opdat jullie ook daar zullen zijn waar Ik ben.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"2420\" data-end=\"2610\">De Heer Jezus kwam eerst naar deze wereld om ons verlossing te brengen en de weg voor ons te bereiden om voor God de Vader te leven \u2013 en om op een dag voor eeuwig bij Hem te zijn.<\/p><p data-start=\"2612\" data-end=\"2724\">De opname zal de dag zijn waarop geloof plaatsmaakt voor zien, en de hoop die we hebben een zichtbare realiteit wordt!<\/p><p data-start=\"2612\" data-end=\"2724\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Misschien komt de Heer vandaag wel om ons tot Zich te nemen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Blessed Hope
