Laat uw hart niet verontrust en wees niet bang.&#039;\u201d<\/em> <br \/><strong>Johannes 14:27<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"130\" data-end=\"315\">In het Nieuwe Testament is het meest voorkomende Griekse woord voor &#039;vrede&#039; <em data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"439\">eir\u0113n\u0113<\/em>, En het verwijst naar rust en kalmte. Deze vrede kan alleen komen van de God van de vrede. Vrede komt van God door de Heer Jezus. Hij heeft immers tegen zijn discipelen gezegd:, <em data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"754\">\u201c&#039;Vrede laat Ik u na, Mijn vrede geef Ik u; niet zoals de wereld geeft, geef Ik u. Laat uw hart niet verontrust en wees niet bang.&#039;\u201d<\/em> (Johannes 14:27).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"1013\">Zijn vrede zou onze harten tot rust moeten brengen wanneer we ons vertrouwen in Hem stellen. Vrede is niet de afwezigheid van problemen of moeilijkheden; het is de innerlijke kalmte, de wetenschap dat onze God groter is dan onze moeilijkheden en dat Hij alles onder controle heeft.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1342\">De Heer Jezus probeerde zijn discipelen in de bovenkamer te troosten. Hij had hen verteld dat een van hen Hem zou verraden, een ander Hem zou verloochenen en dat ze allemaal uiteen zouden vallen. Hij had hen ook verteld dat Hij naar het kruis zou gaan en niet langer fysiek bij hen zou zijn. Hun harten waren vol onrust en ze waren diep verontrust.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"2033\">Toch bracht de Heer hen bijeen om hen te onderwijzen en gaf hun \u2013 in de vorm van zaad \u2013 alles wat ze nodig zouden hebben in Zijn afwezigheid. Hij toonde ware dienstbaarheid in Johannes 13. Hij sprak over het huis van de Vader in Johannes 14 en beloofde de komst van \u201ceen andere Trooster\u201d. Hij leerde hen in hoofdstuk 15 dat het geheim van vrucht dragen was om in Hem te blijven, en dat ze in de wereld zouden blijven als Zijn getuigen. Hij moedigde hen aan met het voorrecht van gebed en de kracht van de Heilige Geest. Nadat Hij dit alles aan hen had voorgelegd, zei Hij:, <em data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"2019\">\u201cIk heb u dit gezegd, opdat u in Mij vrede zult hebben. In de wereld zult u verdrukking hebben, maar wees niet bevreesd, want Ik heb de wereld overwonnen.\u201d<\/em> (Johannes 16:33).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2035\" data-end=\"2419\">Net als de discipelen zullen ook jij en ik moeilijkheden tegenkomen en zal ons hart soms onrustig zijn. Deze wereld is immers geen speeltuin; het is een strijdveld voor de christen. Maar we mogen niet toestaan dat wat er om ons heen gebeurt, onze vrede of onze vreugde wegneemt. De Heer Jezus heeft de wereld overwonnen. Hij is de grote Overwinnaar en wil niet dat angst ons hart in zijn greep krijgt en beheerst.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2706\">Hij wil dat we moed putten uit Hem en zelf als overwinnaars leven. Hij heeft ons Zijn vrede gegeven en zegt vandaag nog steeds tegen ieder van ons:, <em data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2706\">\u201c&quot;Vrede laat Ik u na, Mijn vrede geef Ik u; niet zoals de wereld geeft, geef Ik u. Laat uw hart niet verontrust zijn, noch bang.&quot;\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2706\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Ware vrede vind je niet in de afwezigheid van problemen, maar in de aanwezigheid van Christus.
