Heden is jullie namelijk in de stad van David een Verlosser geboren, die Christus de Heer is.\u2019<br \/><\/em><strong><em>Lucas 2:10-11<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"598\">Er is nog \u00e9\u00e9n aspect van de boodschap van goed nieuws van de engel waar we ons op willen richten. De engel kondigde aan dat de Verlosser, geboren in de stad van David, <em data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"597\">\u201cChristus de Heer.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"600\" data-end=\"964\">\u201cHet woord &quot;Christus&quot; komt van het Griekse woord. <em data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"646\">Christos,<\/em> Dit betekent &quot;gezalfde&quot; of &quot;uitverkorene&quot;. Het is het Griekse equivalent van het Hebreeuwse woord. <em data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"746\">Mashiach,<\/em> of Messias. <em data-start=\"759\" data-end=\"766\">Jezus<\/em> is de menselijke naam die onze Heer aan Maria heeft gegeven, geopenbaard door de engel (Lucas 1:31). <em data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"853\">Christus<\/em> Dat is Zijn titel, die aangeeft dat Hij door God gezonden is om Koning en Verlosser te zijn (Jesaja 32:1; 61:1; Dani\u00ebl 9:25-26).<\/p><p data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"1496\">De engel verklaarde vervolgens dat Hij is <em data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1026\">\u201cChristus de Heer.\u201d<\/em> Terwijl <em data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1039\">heer<\/em> Hoewel het in die tijd vaak als een respectvolle term werd gebruikt, kreeg het in de context van de Heer Jezus een veel diepere betekenis. In Handelingen 2:36, na Jezus&#039; dood, begrafenis en opstanding, verkondigde Petrus:, <em data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1360\">\u201cDaarom moet heel het huis van Isra\u00ebl er zeker van zijn dat God deze Jezus, die jullie gekruisigd hebben, tot Heer en Christus heeft gemaakt.\u201d<\/em> Maar wat we leren uit de aankondiging aan de herders is dat Jezus, zelfs toen hij in een kribbe lag, Heer is! Zijn heerschappij is eeuwig.<\/p><p data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1687\">De profeet Jesaja zag de <em data-start=\"1525\" data-end=\"1553\">\u201cHeer\u2026 hoog verheven\u201d<\/em> (Jesaja 6:1), en Johannes verwijst naar deze gebeurtenis in Johannes 12:41, waar hij zegt:, <em data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1687\">\u201cDit zei Jesaja toen hij Zijn heerlijkheid zag en over Hem sprak.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"2220\">De Heer Jezus is Heer over de schepping, zoals bleek toen Hij de storm tot bedaren bracht \u2013 de wind en de golven wisten precies naar wiens stem ze luisterden. Hij is Heer over de geschiedenis, zoals blijkt uit de <em data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1930\">\u201cAlfa en Omega, het begin en het einde, de eerste en de laatste\u201d<\/em> (Openbaring 22:13). Hij is Heer in het rijk van de dood, de opstanding en de heerlijkheid (Filippenzen 2:9-11). Hij heeft <em data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2066\">\u201calle gezag in de hemel en op aarde\u201d<\/em> (Matte\u00fcs 28:18). Hij is Heer van de sabbat (Lucas 6:5). Hij is <em data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2157\">\u201conze enige Soeverein en Heer\u201d<\/em> (Judas 1:4). Hij is in feite de <em data-start=\"2190\" data-end=\"2205\">Heer der heren<\/em> (Openbaring 17:14).<\/p><p data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2287\">Maar hoe wonderbaarlijk is het dat we Zijn Heer al bij Zijn geboorte zien!<\/p><p data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2413\">Jezus is Heer. Maar de vraag die ieder van ons zich moet stellen is: <em data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2367\">\u201cIs Hij mijn Heer?\u201d<\/em> Heb ik mij in mijn leven aan Zijn Heer overgegeven?<\/p><p data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2670\">Romeinen 10:9-10 verklaart:, <em data-start=\"2440\" data-end=\"2670\">\u201cAls u met uw mond belijdt dat Jezus Heer is en met uw hart gelooft dat God Hem uit de dood heeft opgewekt, zult u gered worden.
