Zij die de Heer Jezus niet kennen als hun Heer en Redder zijn <em data-start=\"574\" data-end=\"606\">\u201czonder hoop en zonder God\u201d<\/em> (Efezi\u00ebrs 2:12). Maar de Heer Jezus kennen, is de God van de hoop kennen, die in staat is om <em data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"799\">\u201cMoge ik u vervullen met alle vreugde en vrede in het geloof, zodat u overvloedig mag zijn in hoop door de kracht van de Heilige Geest.\u201d<\/em> (Romeinen 15:13).<\/p><p data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"1480\">Ongeveer 700 jaar v\u00f3\u00f3r de geboorte van Christus sprak de profeet Jesaja over de komende Messias. Hij zei:, <em data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"1049\">\u201cDaarom zal de Heer zelf u een teken geven: de maagd zal zwanger worden en een zoon baren, en zij zal hem Immanuel noemen.\u201d<\/em> In Matte\u00fcs 1:23 lezen we dit vers opnieuw in verband met de geboorte van onze Heer. <em data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1139\">Immanuel<\/em> betekent \u201cGod met ons\u201d. De mensheid is van deze God van hoop gescheiden geraakt doordat de zonde in de wereld kwam door de overtreding van \u00e9\u00e9n mens. Maar de Zoon van God is in de wereld gekomen, niet om haar te veroordelen, maar opdat wij door Hem gered zouden worden (Johannes 3:16-17). De God van hoop is in de wereld gekomen om hoop te bieden. Jezus Christus <em data-start=\"1453\" data-end=\"1457\">is<\/em> onze hoop (1 Tim. 1:1).<\/p><p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"2055\">Hij leed en stierf aan het kruis. <em data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"1591\">\u201cEens voor de zonden, de rechtvaardige voor de onrechtvaardigen, opdat Hij ons tot God zou brengen.\u201d<\/em> (1 Petrus 3:18). De dood, begrafenis en opstanding van de Heer Jezus hebben ons gebracht in wat Petrus een noemt... <em data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1717\">\u201clevende hoop\u201d<\/em> (1 Petrus 1:3), en deze hoop is nu voor ons verankerd in de hemel, zoals we lezen in Hebree\u00ebn 6:19-20: <em data-start=\"1811\" data-end=\"2055\">\u201cDeze hoop hebben wij als een anker voor de ziel, zeker en onwrikbaar, en die doordringt tot de tegenwoordigheid achter het voorhangsel, waar de Voorloper voor ons is binnengegaan \u2013 Jezus, die voor eeuwig Hogepriester is geworden volgens de orde van Melchizedek.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2476\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Als we het moeilijk vinden om hoop te houden, zou de psalmist tegen ons zeggen:, <em data-start=\"2117\" data-end=\"2264\">\u201cWaarom ben je zo neerslachtig, mijn ziel? En waarom ben je zo onrustig vanbinnen? Hoop op God, want ik zal Hem nog prijzen voor de hulp die Hij mij biedt.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 42:5). Toen de Heer Jezus in deze wereld kwam, naar het kruis ging, leed en stierf, verkondigde Hij:, <em data-start=\"2378\" data-end=\"2395\">\u201cEr is hoop.\u201d<\/em> En Hij heeft tot hen die Hem volgen gezegd:, <em data-start=\"2437\" data-end=\"2461\">\u201cIk ben altijd bij je\u201d<\/em> (Matte\u00fcs 28:20).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Sign Of Hope Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
