Dit laat zien dat al onze dankzegging gebaseerd is op het vergoten bloed van Jezus Christus. Mijn geest van dankbaarheid is mogelijk omdat mijn zonden al vergeven zijn en omdat de eeuwige bestemming van mijn ziel verzekerd is door het bloed. Ik kan met Paulus zeggen:, <em data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"560\">\u201cGod zij dank voor Zijn onuitsprekelijke gave.\u201d<\/em> (2 Korinti\u00ebrs 9:15). Dankzij dat geschenk \u2013 Jezus Christus \u2013 kan ik dankbaar zijn voor alles wat op mijn pad komt. Gods geschenk van verlossing maakt het voor mij mogelijk om alles wat Hij in mijn leven toelaat te doorstaan en er zelfs dankbaar voor te zijn.<\/p><p data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"1539\">Het vlees van het dier dat met het dankoffer werd geofferd, moest worden gegeten (vers 15). Sommige offers moesten volledig worden verbrand als offergaven die geheel aan God werden gegeven. Maar dit offer moest worden gegeten. Het resulteerde erin dat de priester, het volk en God samen een maaltijd van gezegende gemeenschap deelden. Het dankoffer brengt Gods volk dichter bij elkaar en dichter bij hun God. De psalmist verklaart:, <em data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1446\">\u201cIk zal U danken in de grote menigte, ik zal U prijzen te midden van een grote menigte.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 35:18). Een dankbaar hart brengt ons dichter bij God en bij Zijn volk.<\/p><p data-start=\"1541\" data-end=\"2061\">Het offer moest op dezelfde dag dat het gebracht werd, gegeten worden. Niets mocht tot de volgende ochtend bewaard blijven (vers 15). Dit leert ons dat een dankbaar hart van gisteren niet volstaat voor vandaag. Elke dag moet zijn eigen uitingen van dankbaarheid hebben, anders gaat de kans van die dag voorgoed verloren. We moeten dankbaar zijn. <em data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1886\">zoals het vandaag de dag is.<\/em> Gisteren is voorbij, en we hebben geen garantie voor morgen.
