Wisten jullie niet dat Ik bezig moest zijn met de zaken van Mijn Vader?\u201d<br \/><strong data-start=\"136\" data-end=\"149\">Lucas 2:49<\/strong><br \/><\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"136\" data-end=\"257\">Dit is ongetwijfeld een van de vroegste verslagen van een ontmoeting met de Heer Jezus. Hij was nog maar een jonge jongen van twaalf jaar. Dit is het enige verslag dat we hebben van de Heer Jezus in zijn jeugd. Vanaf zijn geboorte tot het begin van zijn openbare optreden is dit het enige geschreven verslag. Omdat dit waar is, zegt het ons veel en is het een zeer leerzaam moment \u2013 vooral voor Maria!<\/p><p data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"1185\">Vanaf het moment dat de engel aan haar verscheen en de geboorte van de Heer Jezus aankondigde, had Maria veel om over na te denken. Dit komt prachtig tot uiting in haar lied in Lucas 1:46-55. Ze zingt over haar behoefte aan een Verlosser (vv. 46-47) en over haar bereidheid om de Heer te verheerlijken met haar ziel, geest en lichaam (vv. 46-48). Ze prijst God (vv. 46-48) voor Zijn macht en barmhartigheid (vv. 49-50), Zijn voorzienigheid en soevereiniteit (vv. 51-53), en voor Zijn beloften en Zijn trouw in het nakomen ervan (vv. 54-55).<\/p><p data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"2129\">Maar nu zijn er jaren verstreken en is haar zoontje twaalf jaar oud. Er staat geschreven: &quot;Hij groeide op en werd sterk van geest, vol wijsheid, en de genade van God rustte op hem&quot; (Lucas 2:40). Het was de gewoonte van dit vrome echtpaar om elk jaar naar Jeruzalem te gaan voor het Pesachfeest. Uit de passage leren we dat ze met anderen in een karavaan reisden. &quot;In de veronderstelling dat Hij in hun gezelschap was, trokken ze een dag verder en zochten Hem bij hun familieleden en kennissen. Toen ze Hem niet vonden, keerden ze terug naar Jeruzalem om Hem te zoeken. En na drie dagen vonden ze Hem in de tempel, zittend te midden van de leraren, luisterend naar hen en hen vragen stellend. En allen die Hem hoorden, waren verbaasd over Zijn inzicht en antwoorden. Toen ze Hem zagen, waren ze verbaasd; en Zijn moeder zei tegen Hem: &#039;Zoon, waarom heb je ons dit aangedaan? Zie, je vader en ik hebben je angstig gezocht.&#039;&quot;\u201c<\/p><p data-start=\"2131\" data-end=\"2443\">De Heer Jezus antwoordde: \u201cWaarom zochten jullie Mij? Wisten jullie niet dat Ik bezig moest zijn met het werk van Mijn Vader?\u201d Hier maakt de Heer Jezus heel duidelijk waarom Hij naar deze wereld is gekomen. In Johannes 4:34 horen we Hem zeggen: \u201cMijn voedsel is de wil te doen van Hem die Mij gezonden heeft, en Zijn werk te voltooien\u201d (zie ook Johannes 6:38; 17:4; 19:30).<\/p><p data-start=\"2445\" data-end=\"2623\">Maria bewaarde deze ontmoeting in haar hart, wat betekent dat ze nadacht over alles wat er gebeurd was. Ongetwijfeld kwamen al deze dingen weer bij haar boven toen ze bij het kruis stond (Johannes 19:25).<\/p><p data-start=\"2445\" data-end=\"2623\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De Heer Jezus kwam om de wil van de Vader te doen en Zijn werk te voltooien. En dat deed Hij! Hij behaagde de Vader in volmaakte trouw, gehoorzaamheid en heiligheid.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Doing The Father&#8217;s Business And He said to them, \u201cWhy did you seek Me?
