{"id":2187,"date":"2025-10-29T14:08:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T14:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anchorsforlife.org\/?p=2187"},"modified":"2025-10-29T14:10:34","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T14:10:34","slug":"but-god-moments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anchorsforlife.org\/nl\/but-god-moments\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;But God&#8221; Moments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"2187\" class=\"elementor elementor-2187\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-f734a3f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"f734a3f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0f04a1d\" data-id=\"0f04a1d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a20c7fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a20c7fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\"But God\" Moments<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a48406b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a48406b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"125\" data-end=\"318\"><em data-start=\"125\" data-end=\"294\">\u201cBut when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother\u2019s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles\u2026\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"294\" data-end=\"297\" \/><strong data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"318\">Galatians 1:15\u201316<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"790\">As we have seen throughout the Word of God, the \u201cBut God\u201d moments in Scripture make all the difference in people\u2019s lives. Noah, Abraham, Joseph, David, the Psalmist, Jonah, Nehemiah, Daniel, and so many others all had their lives changed because of a \u201cBut God.\u201d Paul was no different. When he was known as Saul of Tarsus\u2014breathing out threats and following through with them\u2014his life was forever changed on the road to Damascus (Acts 9).<\/p><p data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"1168\">As Paul reflected on his calling as an apostle, he realized that God had a plan for his life all along. Paul confessed, <em data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1148\">\u201cAlthough I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; yet I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus\u201d<\/em> (1 Tim. 1:13\u201314).<\/p><p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1423\">In today\u2019s verse, Paul acknowledges that his \u201cBut God\u201d moment began long before he was even born\u2014and that the purpose of it was to reveal the Son of God in him and through him. We might say that this is the ultimate purpose of every \u201cBut God.\u201d<\/p><p data-start=\"1425\" data-end=\"1754\">Peter expressed the same truth in a different way: <em data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1602\">\u201cOnce you were not a people, but now you are God\u2019s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy\u201d<\/em> (1 Pet. 2:10). And this is so <em data-start=\"1633\" data-end=\"1738\">\u201cthat you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light\u201d<\/em> (1 Pet. 2:9).<\/p><p data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1994\">The \u201cBut God\u201d moments in Scripture remind us that our God is able to do <em data-start=\"1828\" data-end=\"1926\">\u201cexceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us\u201d<\/em> (Eph. 3:20)\u2014no matter what our situation or circumstances may be.<\/p><p data-start=\"1996\" data-end=\"2438\">As followers of Jesus Christ, we must never give up or give in to discouragement. We must never back up or back down in life\u2019s experiences. Instead, we should look for the \u201cBut God\u201d moments in our lives.<\/p><p data-start=\"1996\" data-end=\"2438\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Remember the &#8220;But God&#8221; moments from the past, thank Him for those in the present, and trust Him to reveal even more in the future\u2014so that His Son may be revealed in you and that you may proclaim what God has accomplished by His grace in your life!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;But God&#8221;
