Maar God, die de moedelozen troost, heeft ons getroost door de komst van Titus, en niet alleen door zijn komst, maar ook door de troost die hij van jullie ontving, toen hij ons vertelde over jullie verlangen, jullie verdriet en jullie ijver voor mij, zodat ik nog meer verheugd was.\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"526\" \/><strong data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"555\">2 Korinti\u00ebrs 7:5-7<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"990\">De apostel Paulus was zeer bemoedigd door de positieve reactie van de gemeente op zijn eerste brief. Hij was zeer moedig en krachtig geweest in het terechtwijzen van deze afgedwaalde gemeente, maar nu verheugde hij zich erover dat de Heer onder hen aan het werk was, en zei:, <em data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"976\">\u201cGroot is mijn vrijmoedigheid om tegen u te spreken, groot is mijn roem voor u. Ik ben vervuld van troost. Ik ben buitengewoon blij te midden van al onze beproevingen.\u201d<\/em> (2 Korinti\u00ebrs 7:4).<\/p><p data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1217\">Paulus had veel moeilijkheden ondervonden toen hij in Macedoni\u00eb aankwam. Hij was voortdurend onderweg en had weinig tijd om uit te rusten. Overal waar hij keek, stuitte hij op problemen \u2013 uiterlijk waren er conflicten, innerlijk waren er angsten.<\/p><p data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1830\">Wat wonderbaarlijk dat Paulus, te midden van al die moeilijkheden, kon zeggen:, <em data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1297\">\u201cMaar mijn God!\u201d<\/em> Sommige vertalingen geven het zo weer. <em data-start=\"1326\" data-end=\"1347\">\u201cNiettemin, God,\u201d<\/em> Maar het draagt dezelfde boodschap uit: God grijpt in! Het is God die de moedelozen troost, en in dit geval deed Hij dat door de komst van Titus. In 2:13 zei Paulus dat hij Titus niet kon vinden en dat hij daardoor geen rust in zijn geest had. Wat is de Heer toch goed dat Hij Paulus precies op het juiste moment vrede en troost gaf! Toen Titus arriveerde, bracht hij goed nieuws: de Korinti\u00ebrs hadden zich bekeerd en waren Paulus weer gaan liefhebben, wat het hart van de apostel met vreugde vervulde.<\/p><p data-start=\"1832\" data-end=\"2372\">Wanneer we de druk van het leven voelen \u2013 zowel van buitenaf als van binnenuit \u2013 zoek dan naar het &quot;Maar God&quot; in je situatie. <em data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"2009\">\u201cGod is onze toevlucht en kracht, een zeer nabije hulp in de nood.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 46:1). Het woord &#039;moeilijkheden&#039; draagt hier de betekenis van in het nauw gedreven worden, zonder uitweg. In zulke tijden is God onze toevlucht en kracht. Zelfs wanneer alles om ons heen verandert of instort, komt de Heer tussenbeide en voorziet Hij precies in wat we nodig hebben. Daarom zegt Hij tegen ieder van onze harten:, <em data-start=\"2327\" data-end=\"2363\">\u201cWees stil en weet dat Ik God ben.\u201d<\/em> (vers 10).<\/p><p data-start=\"2374\" data-end=\"2501\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Het geheim van elk moment waarop je denkt: &quot;Maar God&quot;, is leren stil te zijn en Hem de ruimte te geven zich te openbaren als Degene die de moedelozen troost.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God Intervenes! \u201cFor even when we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turn\u2014fighting without and fear within.
