Brandoffers en zondoffers hebt U niet ge\u00ebist. Toen zei ik: \u2018Zie, ik ben gekomen; in de boekrol staat over mij geschreven: Ik heb behagen in het doen van Uw wil, o mijn God; Uw wet is in mijn hart.\u2019\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"442\" data-end=\"445\" \/><strong data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"467\">Psalm 40:6-8<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"653\">Psalm 40 wordt beschouwd als een messiaanse psalm omdat hij profetisch spreekt over de Messias, de Heer Jezus Christus. Dit wordt bevestigd in Hebree\u00ebn 10:1, 4-7.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"1269\"><p data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"1269\"><em>\u201cWant de wet, die slechts een schaduw is van de goede dingen die komen zullen en niet het ware beeld ervan, kan met diezelfde offers, die zij jaar in jaar uit voortdurend brengen, nooit degenen die tot Hem naderen volmaakt maken\u2026 Want het is onmogelijk dat het bloed van stieren en bokken zonden kan wegnemen. Daarom zei Hij, toen Hij in de wereld kwam: \u2018Offer en offergave hebt U niet gewild, maar een lichaam hebt U voor Mij bereid. In brandoffers en offers voor de zonde had U geen behagen. Toen zei Ik: \u201cZie, Ik ben gekomen \u2013 in het boek staat over Mij geschreven \u2013 om Uw wil te doen, o God.\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1557\">Sommige vertalingen laten de zinsnede \u201cmaar U\u201d in Psalm 40 weg; deze helpt ons echter het contrast te zien dat God schetst tussen de oudtestamentische offers en het offer van de Heer Jezus. Dit wordt nog duidelijker wanneer we in Hebree\u00ebn lezen:, <em data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1555\">\u201cMaar U hebt een lichaam voor Mij bereid.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"2145\">God had geen behagen in de offers en gaven van het Oude Testament, zoals vermeld in Psalm 40, omdat die offers de zonden niet konden wegnemen, zoals uitgelegd in Hebree\u00ebn 10. Daarom bereidde God de Vader een lichaam voor Zijn Zoon, de Heer Jezus. In Psalm 40 lezen we:, <em data-start=\"1820\" data-end=\"1858\">\u201cMaar U hebt naar mij geluisterd.\u201d<\/em> wat letterlijk betekent: \u201cU hebt oren voor mij gegraven.\u201d De Vader bereidde een fysiek lichaam voor de Heer Jezus voor, zodat Hij Zijn wil kon volbrengen. De brief aan de Hebree\u00ebn vervolgt:, <em data-start=\"2027\" data-end=\"2129\">\u201cDoor die wil zijn wij geheiligd door het offer van het lichaam van Jezus Christus, eens voor altijd.\u201d<\/em> (Hebree\u00ebn 10:10).<\/p><p data-start=\"2147\" data-end=\"2473\">Omdat de Heer Jezus in de wereld kwam \u2013 in de gedaante van een mens, maar zonder zonde \u2013 kon Hij dat volmaakte offer voor de zonde zijn, een welriekende geur die aan God werd geofferd (Efezi\u00ebrs 5:1-2). Door Zijn offer, <em data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2457\">\u201cNadat deze Man een offer voor alle zonden had gebracht, nam Hij plaats aan de rechterhand van God.\u201d<\/em> (Hebree\u00ebn 10:12).<\/p><p data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2630\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Psalm 40 spreekt tot ons over de menswording van de Heer Jezus Christus. Wat zijn we dankbaar dat God een lichaam heeft voorbereid voor onze gezegende Verlosser!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Body Prepared \u201cIn sacrifice and offering You have not delighted, but You have given me an open ear.
