Goddelijke leiding<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Maar God leidde het volk om via de woestijn naar de Rode Zee. En het volk Isra\u00ebl trok uit het land Egypte, uitgerust voor de strijd.<\/em>
Exodus 13:18<\/strong><\/p>

God bevrijdde Zijn uitverkoren aardse volk uit de slavernij van Egypte. Ons is altijd geleerd dat de kortste afstand tussen twee punten een rechte lijn is, maar als je naar de kaart kijkt, was de route door de woestijn noch een rechte lijn, noch de kortste route. Waarom leidde de Heer hen via deze weg in plaats van de kortere weg?<\/p>

De Heer heeft altijd Zijn redenen voor wat Hij doet: \u201cWat God betreft, Zijn weg is volmaakt.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 18:30). Hij heeft een doel met alles wat Hij doet en alles wat Hij toelaat in het leven van de zijnen. In dit geval wordt ons verteld:, \u201cToen de farao het volk had laten gaan, leidde God hen niet door het land van de Filistijnen, hoewel dat dichtbij was. Want God had gezegd: \u2018Opdat het volk misschien niet van gedachten verandert als het oorlog ziet, en terugkeert naar Egypte.\u2019\u201d<\/em> (Exodus 13:17).<\/p>

De Heer kende de harten van Zijn volk. Hij wist dat als ze de gemakkelijke weg zouden kiezen, ze hun hart weer naar Egypte zouden keren. Hij wist dat ze de ontberingen die voor hen lagen nodig hadden om hen te vormen tot wat Hij voor hen had bedoeld. Hij leidde hen via deze onverwachte weg \u2013 waarom? Omdat ze als volk nog nooit een strijd hadden meegemaakt. Dat vers in Psalm 18:30 vervolgt:, \u201cHet woord van de Heer is beproefd; Hij is een schild voor allen die op Hem vertrouwen.\u201d<\/em> De Heer wist dat er strijd zou komen, en door de moeilijkheden die Hij toeliet, bereidde Hij hen voor.<\/p>

Hij zou hun gids zijn in de woestijn. Hij ging voor hen uit met een vuurkolom 's nachts en een wolk overdag (Exodus 13:21). Dit was Zijn goddelijke navigatiesysteem \u2013 Zijn \u201cGPS\u201d. Ook wij gelovigen van vandaag hebben een goddelijke GPS.Gods positioneringssysteem<\/em>Hij laat ons moeilijke paden bewandelen om ons te leren op Hem te vertrouwen!<\/p>

De Egyptenaren bevonden zich achter hen, de Rode Zee voor hen \u2013 ze zaten klem. Maar God was aan het werk! Farao dacht dat hij het volk van God in de val had gelokt, maar in Zijn soevereine en alwetende macht had de Heer hen precies waar Hij hen nodig had. De Heer gaf Mozes instructies en Hij opende de Rode Zee. Het volk van God trok over droge grond, met aan beide kanten muren van water. De obstakels van Farao achter hen en de Rode Zee voor hen waren geen partij voor de God die Zijn plannen met Zijn volk aan het uitvoeren was.<\/p>

Zijn instructie aan hen was: \u201cBlijf staan en zie de redding van de Heer.\u201d<\/em> (Ex. 14:13).\u00a0<\/p>

Ankerpunt voor vandaag:
<\/strong>Het is niet met een onzekere stap.
<\/em>We bewandelen ons eigen woestijnpad;
<\/em>Een bekende stem heeft ons gebeld.
<\/em>Tot in alle eeuwigheid.<\/em><\/p>

Hij laat ons niet alleen achter om dit na te sporen.<\/em><\/div>
Ons pad dwars door de afvalbergen;<\/em><\/div>
Maar hij leidt ons nog steeds, met levende genade.,<\/em><\/div>
Naar huis, waarheen we ons haasten.<\/em><\/div>

Met geduld bewandelen we dan de weg \u2014<\/em><\/div>
Ons geloof en onze moed werden op de proef gesteld \u2014<\/em><\/div>
En vertrouw op de liefde die elke last draagt.,<\/em><\/div>
