data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><div>Heb je je ooit afgevraagd: &quot;Waarom heb ik geen zekerheid over mijn redding? De ene dag voel ik me gered, maar de volgende dag niet.&quot; Je begrijpt misschien wel dat alleen de dood van Christus je veiligheid biedt, maar je denkt dat het je gevoel is dat je zekerheid geeft.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div>De menselijke verbeelding ziet verlossing als volgt: &quot;Deze blijde gevoelens heb Ik u gegeven, die gelooft in de Naam van de Zoon van God, opdat u mag hopen op eeuwig leven.&quot; Open nu uw Bijbel bij 1 Johannes 5:13 en vergelijk de menselijke verbeelding met Gods Woord, dat zegt: &quot;Deze dingen heb Ik u geschreven, die gelooft in de Naam van de Zoon van God, opdat u mag weten dat u eeuwig leven hebt.&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>In Exodus 11-12 sprak de Heer het oordeel van de dood uit over de eerstgeborenen in elk huis in Egypte waar geen lamsbloed op de deurposten was aangebracht. Maar hoe wisten de eerstgeboren zonen van Isra\u00ebl er zeker van dat ze veilig waren in de nacht van het oordeel? Laten we twee huizen bezoeken en horen wat ze te vertellen hebben.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>In het eerste huis beeft iedereen van angst. Wanneer we vragen waarom ze zo bang zijn, vertelt de oudste zoon ons dat de engel des doods vanavond komt en dat hij niet weet wat er gaat gebeuren.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cAls de engel des doods ons huis voorbij is gegaan, weet ik dat ik veilig ben, maar tot die tijd kan ik er niet zeker van zijn. De buren zeggen dat ze zeker zijn van hun redding, maar wij vinden dat aanmatigend. Ik kan alleen maar hopen op het beste.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>We vragen: \u201cHeeft de God van Isra\u00ebl dan geen bescherming geboden aan Zijn volk?\u201d De zoon antwoordt: \u201cJa, en we hebben gedaan wat God ons opgedragen heeft. Het bloed van een smetteloos lam is op de deurposten gesprenkeld, maar we zijn nog steeds niet zeker van onze veiligheid.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Laten we nu naar de buren gaan. Wat een contrast! Iedereen is vrolijk. Hun deurposten zijn geverfd en ze genieten van het geroosterde lam. Waarom al die vreugde op zo&#039;n plechtige avond? Ze antwoorden: &#039;We wachten op Jehovah&#039;s bevel, en dan zullen we Egypte vaarwel zeggen.&#039;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cMaar weet je dan niet dat dit de nacht van het oordeel is?\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cZeker, maar onze eerstgeboren zoon is veilig. Het bloed is toegediend volgens Gods bevel.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201c&#039;Maar dat is ook bij de buren gebeurd,&#039; antwoorden we, &#039;en zij zijn ontevreden omdat ze zich niet veilig voelen.&#039;\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De eerstgeborene antwoordt vastberaden: &quot;Wij hebben meer dan alleen het bloed. Wij hebben Gods Woord hierover. God heeft gezegd: &#039;Wanneer Ik het bloed zie, zal Ik aan jullie voorbijgaan.&#039; God is tevreden met het bloed aan de buitenkant, en wij zijn tevreden met Zijn Woord aan de binnenkant. Het besprenkelde bloed maakt ons veilig, terwijl Gods Woord ons zekerheid geeft.&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Welk van deze twee huizen was veiliger? Het antwoord is dat beide even veilig waren, omdat hun veiligheid alleen afhing van wat God dacht over het bloed buiten en niet van hun gevoelens vanbinnen. Als je zeker wilt zijn van je zegeningen, luister dan niet naar het wankele getuigenis van je innerlijke emoties. Luister in plaats daarvan naar het onfeilbare Woord van God: &quot;Voorwaar, voorwaar, Ik zeg u: wie in Mij gelooft, heeft eeuwig leven&quot; (Joh. 6:47).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Laat ik een ander voorbeeld gebruiken. Een man vraagt of hij een huis kan huren, maar de eigenaar geeft geen antwoord. Op een dag zegt een buurman: &quot;Ik weet zeker dat je dat huis krijgt. Weet je nog dat de eigenaar je vorig jaar met kerst een cadeautje stuurde? Hij zwaaide laatst ook nog naar je.&quot; Deze woorden geven de man hoop.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De volgende dag zegt een andere buurman: &quot;Ik denk niet dat je dat huis krijgt. Iemand anders heeft ook interesse getoond, en dat is een goede vriend van de eigenaar.&quot; De hoop van de man spatte uiteen als zeepbellen. De ene dag heeft hij hoop, de volgende dag zit hij vol twijfels.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Dan komt er een brief van de eigenaar. Zijn gezicht verandert van spanning in blijdschap als hij hem leest. Hij roept tegen zijn vrouw: &quot;Het is nu besloten. De eigenaar zegt dat het huis van ons is zolang we het willen huren. De mening van anderen doet er nu niet meer toe, nu we het woord van de eigenaar hebben.&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Veel mensen bevinden zich in een vergelijkbare situatie, gekweld door de meningen van anderen of door de gevoelens van hun hart. Pas wanneer ze eindelijk de zekerheid van Gods Woord ontvangen, maakt zekerheid plaats voor twijfel.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Wanneer God spreekt, moet er zekerheid zijn, of het nu gaat om de verdoemenis van de ongelovige of de redding van de gelovige. &quot;Voor eeuwig, Heer, is uw woord vastgelegd in de hemel&quot; (Psalm 119:89). Zijn Woord beslecht alles. &quot;Heeft Hij het gezegd en zal Hij het niet doen? Of heeft Hij gesproken en zal Hij het niet volbrengen?&quot; (Numeri 23:19).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Maar u vraagt zich misschien af: &quot;Hoe kan ik er zeker van zijn dat ik genoeg van het juiste soort geloof heb?&quot; Het gaat niet om het juiste soort of de hoeveelheid geloof, maar om de betrouwbaarheid van de Persoon in wie u gelooft. Heeft u vertrouwen in de juiste Persoon \u2013 de Zoon van God?\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De ene man grijpt Christus vast met de kracht van een drenkeling, terwijl de andere slechts de zoom van Zijn kleed aanraakt, maar beiden zijn even veilig. Ze hebben beiden dezelfde ontdekking gedaan. Ze kunnen volledig op Christus en Zijn Woord vertrouwen en vol vertrouwen rusten in de eeuwige kracht van Zijn volbrachte werk.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Zorg ervoor dat je vertrouwen niet gebaseerd is op je goede werken, je religieuze activiteiten, je gevoelens of je morele opvoeding. Je kunt het sterkste geloof in zulke dingen hebben en toch voor eeuwig verloren gaan. Het zwakste geloof in Christus brengt eeuwige redding; het sterkste geloof in jezelf is nutteloos.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201c&#039;Ik geloof wel in Hem,&#039; zei een meisje met een bedroefde blik op een dag, &#039;maar ik durf niet te zeggen dat ik gered ben, uit angst dat ik zou liegen.&#039; De vader van dit meisje was naar een veiling gegaan om schapen te kopen en was nog niet terug. Dus zei ik: &#039;Stel je voor dat je vader thuiskomt en je vraagt hem hoeveel schapen hij gekocht heeft, en hij zegt &#039;tien&#039;. Later vraagt iemand je hoeveel schapen je vader vandaag gekocht heeft, en je antwoordt: &#039;Dat wil ik niet zeggen, want ik zou kunnen liegen.&#039; Met rechtvaardige woede riep haar moeder, die vlakbij stond, uit: &#039;Maar dat zou betekenen dat haar vader een leugenaar is!&#039;\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Op dezelfde manier maakte dit goedbedoelende meisje Christus tot een leugenaar door te zeggen: &quot;Ik geloof in Hem, maar ik durf niet te zeggen dat ik gered ben, uit angst dat ik zou liegen.&quot; Christus heeft gezegd: &quot;Wie in Mij gelooft, heeft eeuwig leven&quot; (Joh. 6:47).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Je zou je dan kunnen afvragen: &quot;Hoe kan ik er zeker van zijn dat ik geloof? Hoe meer ik mijn geloof onderzoek, hoe minder ik er blijkbaar van overhoud.&quot; Misschien kijk je wel de verkeerde kant op. Je pogingen om te geloven tonen alleen maar aan dat je op het verkeerde spoor zit.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Laat ik een ander voorbeeld gebruiken. Stel, op een avond vertelt een man die bekendstaat als een notoire leugenaar je dat een vriend van hem net is omgekomen bij een auto-ongeluk. Je gelooft hem waarschijnlijk niet, omdat je hem te goed kent. Maar dan vertelt een buurman je hetzelfde slechte nieuws. Deze keer zeg je: &quot;Omdat jij het zegt, geloof ik het.&quot; Ik vraag: &quot;Waarom geloof je je buurman wel en de leugenaar niet?&quot; Je antwoordt: &quot;Vanwege wie en wat mijn buurman is. Hij heeft nog nooit tegen me gelogen en ik weet dat hij dat ook nooit zal doen.&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Op dezelfde manier weet ik dat ik het Evangelie kan geloven dankzij Degene die mij het nieuws brengt. &quot;Als wij het getuigenis van mensen aannemen, is het getuigenis van God des te groter, want dit is het getuigenis van God dat Hij van Zijn Zoon heeft afgelegd... Wie God niet gelooft, maakt Hem tot een leugenaar, omdat hij het getuigenis dat God van Zijn Zoon heeft afgelegd, niet gelooft&quot; (1 Johannes 5:9-10).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Een angstig persoon zei eens tegen een predikant: &quot;Ik kan niet geloven.&quot; De predikant vroeg: &quot;Wie kunt u dan niet geloven?&quot; Deze vraag loste het probleem op. Hij had geloof gezien als iets dat hij in zichzelf moest voelen om er zeker van te zijn dat hij geschikt was voor de hemel. Maar geloof kijkt altijd naar buiten, naar Christus en Zijn volbrachte werk, en luistert aandachtig naar het getuigenis van een trouwe God over beide.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De blik naar buiten brengt innerlijke rust. Wanneer een mens zijn gezicht naar de zon keert, valt zijn schaduw achter hem. Je kunt niet tegelijkertijd naar jezelf kijken en naar de verheerlijkte Christus in de hemel. Gods Zoon wint je vertrouwen: Zijn volbrachte werk maakt je voor eeuwig veilig, en Gods Woord geeft je de zekerheid van verlossing.\u00a0<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
