gemeenschap die tevredenheid voortbrengt.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c39008 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1c39008\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>Onlangs las ik Psalm 23, ter voorbereiding op een begrafenis, en realiseerde ik me dat deze psalm veel meer is dan alleen een psalm van troost! Het is een psalm van tevredenheid! David plaatst zichzelf in de positie van een schaap en kan zeggen: &quot;De Heer is MIJN herder.&quot; Later beschrijft hij zichzelf als zittend aan een tafel die de Heer speciaal voor hem heeft klaargemaakt. Op die tafel zou alles liggen wat de Heer voor hem in petto had. Die tafel was niet alleen een plaats van voorziening voor David, maar ook een plaats van bescherming tegen Davids vijand! Maar David was niet alleen bezig met de voorziening van de Heer of zelfs met de veiligheid van de Heer. Terwijl we deze psalm lezen, was David bezig met de persoon van de Heer Zelf! Hij was zo bezig met wat de Heer voor hem deed of kon doen. Het waren niet de zegeningen waar David door in beslag werd genomen. Het was de Gever van de zegeningen! Daar komt ware tevredenheid vandaan!\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Materi\u00eble zaken kunnen ons nooit tevreden stellen! David wist dit en liet ons zien dat ware tevredenheid verder reikt dan het aardse. David was gefocust op \u00e9\u00e9n persoon: &quot;De Heer is MIJN Herder!&quot; David had een relatie met de Heer. In Johannes 10 zegt de Heer Jezus: &quot;Ik ben de goede herder. De goede herder geeft zijn leven voor de schapen... Ik ben de goede herder, en Ik ken mijn schapen en word door hen gekend.&quot; Laten we allereerst beseffen dat deze relatie met de Goede Herder begint wanneer ik accepteer dat Hij, de Goede Herder, de Heer Jezus, zichzelf voor mij heeft gegeven, zoals beschreven in Psalm 22. Luister naar wat de Heer Jezus zegt in Johannes 10:17-18: &quot;Daarom heeft Mijn Vader Mij lief, omdat Ik Mijn leven afleg om het weer op te nemen. Niemand neemt het van Mij af, maar Ik leg het af voor Mijzelf. Ik heb de macht om het af te leggen en Ik heb de macht om het weer op te nemen. Dit gebod heb Ik van Mijn Vader ontvangen.&quot; Mijn relatie met de Goede Herder begon toen ik besefte dat ik een zondaar ben en dat Hij naar de wereld is gekomen om zondaars te redden. Ik was een verloren schaap dat van God was afgedwaald, en Hij kwam om te zoeken en te redden wat verloren was! Pas wanneer ik aanvaard wat Hij voor God heeft volbracht aan het kruis, door de prijs voor mijn zonde te betalen, en ik voor een heilige God belijd dat ik een zondaar ben, d\u00e1t is het moment waarop mijn relatie met de Goede Herder begint! D\u00e1t is het moment waarop ik vol vertrouwen kan verklaren: &quot;De Heer is MIJN Herder!&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Zodra deze relatie is begonnen, moet ik naar Zijn stem luisteren. De Heer Jezus zei in Johannes 10:27-29: &quot;Mijn schapen horen Mijn stem, en Ik ken ze, en ze volgen Mij. Ik geef hun eeuwig leven, en ze zullen nooit verloren gaan; niemand zal ze uit Mijn hand rukken. Mijn Vader, die ze Mij gegeven heeft, is groter dan allen, en niemand kan ze uit Mijn Vaders hand rukken.&quot; In de hand van de herder zijn is een plaats van redding en zekerheid, maar voor ons moet het ook een plaats van een enkelvoudige focus zijn! We moeten bezig zijn met de Herder Zelf, luisteren naar Zijn stem en Hem dagelijks leren kennen door in het Woord te zijn. De Herder is de bron van ware tevredenheid, niet wat Hij geeft, hoe goed dat ook allemaal is! Christus erkennen als de bron is het geheim van tevredenheid in alle omstandigheden. Luister naar wat Paulus zegt in Filippenzen 4:11-13: \u201cNiet dat ik spreek met het oog op gebrek, want ik heb geleerd in elke omstandigheid tevreden te zijn; ik weet wat het is om vernederd te worden en ik weet wat het is om overvloed te hebben. Overal en in alles heb ik geleerd om zowel verzadigd als hongerig te zijn, zowel overvloed te hebben als gebrek te lijden. Ik kan alles doen door Christus, die mij kracht geeft.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>In Psalm 23 valt op hoe David zich bezighield met de Herder, en niet alleen met de zegeningen die Hij gaf. De HEER is mijn herder, mij zal niets ontbreken. Hij laat mij rusten in groene weiden, Hij leidt mij naar rustige wateren. Hij verfrist mijn ziel, Hij leidt mij op de rechte paden, omwille van Zijn naam. Ja, al ga ik door een dal van diepe duisternis,<\/div><div>Ik vrees geen kwaad, want U bent met mij; mijn stok en uw staf, die troosten mij. U bereidt een tafel voor mij in het bijzijn van mijn vijanden; U zalft mijn hoofd met olie; mijn beker vloeit over.<\/div><div>Voorwaar, goedheid en barmhartigheid zullen mij volgen al de dagen van mijn leven, en ik zal wonen in het huis van de Heer tot in eeuwigheid.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Ware tevredenheid is een van de resultaten van het bezig zijn met de Herder. Maar wat zijn enkele resultaten van tevredenheid? Laten we er een paar bekijken:\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Spreuken 17:22 zegt: &quot;Een vrolijk hart is een goede remedie, maar een gebroken geest doet de beenderen verdrogen.&quot; Spreuken 15:15 voegt daaraan toe: &quot;Alle dagen van de verdrukte zijn slecht, maar een vrolijk hart heeft een voortdurend feestmaal.&quot; In beide verzen zien we dat een tevreden hart voldaan en vol vreugde is.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Onze dienst aan de Heer zal be\u00efnvloed worden door onze mate van tevredenheid. In 1 Timote\u00fcs 6:6, 8 zegt Paulus: &quot;Godsvrucht is een middel tot grote winst wanneer die gepaard gaat met tevredenheid. Als we voedsel en kleding hebben, zullen we daarmee tevreden zijn.&quot; Hebree\u00ebn 13:5 herinnert ons eraan: &quot;Zorg ervoor dat je karakter vrij is van geldzucht, wees tevreden met wat je hebt; want Hij heeft gezegd: &#039;Ik zal je nooit verlaten, noch je in de steek laten.&#039;&quot; Job 36:11 voegt daaraan toe: &quot;Als ze naar Hem luisteren en Hem dienen, zullen ze hun dagen in voorspoed eindigen en hun jaren in vreugde.&quot;\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Psalm 37:7-8 voegt een andere dimensie toe aan tevredenheid: &quot;Rust in de HEER en wacht geduldig op Hem. Wees niet bezorgd over degene die voorspoedig is in zijn weg, over degene die slechte plannen smeedt. Laat de woede varen en laat de toorn varen. Wees niet bezorgd, want het leidt alleen maar tot kwaad.&quot; Zorgen ontstaan doordat men niet bezig is met en tevreden is met de Heer. &quot;Wees niet bezorgd over de kwaaddoeners en wees niet jaloers op de goddelozen&quot; (Spreuken 24:19). Maar een hart dat in harmonie is met de Heer kan zeggen: &quot;Verzadig ons &#039;s morgens met uw goedheid, zodat wij juichen en blij zijn al onze dagen&quot; (Psalm 90:14). &quot;Want Hij heeft de dorstige ziel verzadigd en de hongerige ziel gevuld met het goede.&quot; (Psalm 107:9)\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Luister naar dit vers over wat er gebeurt als je tevreden bent met de Heer en je met Hem bezighoudt. &quot;De vreze des HEEREN leidt tot leven, zodat men tevreden kan slapen, onaangetast door het kwaad.&quot; Spreuken 19:23\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cWaarom geeft u uw geld uit aan wat geen brood is en uw loon aan wat niet verzadiging geeft? Luister aandachtig naar Mij, eet wat goed is en verheug u in overvloed.\u201d Jesaja 55:2\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cWat mij betreft, ik zal Uw aangezicht in gerechtigheid aanschouwen; ik zal verzadigd zijn met Uw gelijkenis wanneer ik ontwaak.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>Psalmen 17:15\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cDe verdrukten zullen eten en verzadigd worden; zij die Hem zoeken, zullen de HEER prijzen.
