verheerlijk de Heer met mij!<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-96d633b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"96d633b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>\u00a0\u201cIk zal de Heer te allen tijde prijzen, zijn lof zal voortdurend in mijn mond zijn. Mijn ziel zal roemen in de Heer. De nederigen zullen het horen en zich verheugen. O, verheerlijk de Heer met mij, en laten wij samen zijn naam verhogen.\u201d <\/i><\/div><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><i>Psalm 34:1-3<\/i><\/strong><\/div><\/blockquote><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Wat betekent het om God te verheerlijken? Verheerlijken betekent iets groots maken, prijzen, eren, opscheppen, verheffen, promoten en als groots verklaren. Hoe verheerlijken we God? Er zijn twee verschillende manieren om naar het woord &#039;verheerlijken&#039; te kijken. We kunnen het bekijken zoals we door een microscoop of vergrootglas kijken, waardoor een klein object groter lijkt, of we kunnen het bekijken door een telescoop, die iets dat ver weg en extreem groot is, dichterbij brengt. Een leven dat de Heer verheerlijkt, doet precies dat. Het is een leven dat God dichter bij de mensen brengt die het ontmoet!\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><b>Het leven van de Heer Jezus<\/b>\u00a0<\/div><div>Dat is wat het leven van de Heer Jezus deed. Zijn leven was volmaakt en verheerlijkte en prees God. In Psalm 69 lezen we over de innerlijke gevoelens en het lijden van de Heer Jezus (Ps. 69:2-4, 7-12, 20-21). Maar we zien ook wat zo&#039;n leven tot stand bracht voor de glorie van God, wanneer de psalm, profetisch sprekend over de Heer, zegt:, <i>\u201cIk zal de naam van God prijzen met een lied. En ik zal Hem verheerlijken met dankzegging.\u201d<\/i> (Psalm 69:30). In Hebree\u00ebn 10:5 zien we dat de Heer Jezus het instrument was dat God zou gebruiken om Zichzelf dicht bij ons te brengen. We lezen:, <i>\u201cOffer en gaven hebt U niet gewild, maar een lichaam hebt U voor Mij bereid.\u201d <\/i>Deze verzen komen uit Psalm 40, een psalm die spreekt over de Heer als het brandoffer, maar die vervolgens verklaart:, <i>\u201cLaat allen die U zoeken zich verheugen en blij zijn in U; laat allen die uw verlossing liefhebben, voortdurend zeggen: \u201dDe Heer zij verheerlijkt!\u2019\u201d<\/i> (Psalm 40:16). Dit is wat het leven van de Heer Jezus deed. Hij verheerlijkte God op alle mogelijke manieren, en daardoor bracht Hij God ook dichter bij ons. De Schrift zou zeggen:, <i>\u201cIn den beginne was het Woord, en het Woord was bij God, en het Woord was God.\u201d<\/i> en dan, t<i>Het Woord werd vlees en woonde onder ons, en wij aanschouwden Zijn heerlijkheid, vol van genade en waarheid.\u201d <\/i>(Johannes 1:1, 14). In Johannes 14:9 kon Hij zeggen:, <i>\u201cAls je mij hebt gezien, heb je de Vader gezien.\u201d <\/i>Hij verheerlijkte God. Hij was<i> \u201cGod geopenbaard in het vlees,\u201d<\/i> In en door Zijn lichaam heeft Hij God dicht bij ons gebracht, zodat wij Zijn grootheid zouden kunnen aanschouwen.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><b>Ons leven\u00a0<\/b><\/div><div>Ook ons leven behoort God te verheerlijken! Ik geloof dat de Schrift ons leert dat ons hele wezen God moet verheerlijken. Onze geest, ziel en lichaam. Maria zei in Lucas 1:46:, <i>\u201cMijn ziel verheerlijkt de Heer.\u201d<\/i> De ziel is de zetel van onze emoties, dus in haar diepste wezen wilde ze haar God verheerlijken. Johannes de Doper had hetzelfde verlangen toen hij over de Heer Jezus zei:, <i>\u201cHij moet groeien, en ik moet afnemen.\u201d <\/i>(Johannes 3:30). Ook wij zouden ditzelfde verlangen moeten hebben, dat de Heer niet alleen emotioneel in ons diepste wezen verheerlijkt wordt, maar ook in en door ons lichaam! Paulus brengt dit ter sprake door te zeggen:, <i>\u201cOf weet u niet dat uw lichaam een tempel is van de Heilige Geest, die in u woont en die u van God hebt ontvangen? U bent immers voor een prijs gekocht. Verheerlijk daarom God met uw lichaam en met uw geest, die van God zijn.\u201d <\/i>In Romeinen 12:1-2 zegt hij:,<i> \u201cDaarom smeek ik u, broeders, bij de barmhartigheid van God, dat u uw lichamen stelt als een levend offer, heilig en aanvaardbaar voor God, want dat is uw redelijke dienst. En word niet gelijkvormig aan deze wereld, maar word veranderd door de vernieuwing van uw gezindheid, opdat u kunt onderscheiden wat de goede, aanvaardbare en volmaakte wil van God is.\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Een voorbeeld van zo&#039;n leven vinden we in Dani\u00ebl 1:8 en 3:28. Zij hadden zich voorgenomen om voor God te leven en zouden voor geen enkele andere god buigen! En op een heel praktische manier brachten hun levens God dichterbij, zodat iedereen het kon zien!\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Paulus was bereid zijn leven te geven om God te verheerlijken. Hij verlangde ernaar de Heer te eren, levend of stervend. Het maakte hem niet uit. Luister naar wat hij zegt in Filippenzen 1:20-25., <i>\u201c&quot;Volgens mijn oprechte verwachting en hoop zal ik in niets te schande worden gemaakt, maar met alle vrijmoedigheid, zoals altijd, zal ook nu Christus in mijn lichaam verheerlijkt worden, hetzij door leven, hetzij door dood. Want voor mij is leven Christus, en sterven winst. Maar als ik in het vlees blijf leven, zal dat vrucht dragen van mijn arbeid; toch weet ik niet wat ik zal kiezen. Want ik word in tweestrijd gebracht, want ik verlang ernaar heen te gaan en bij Christus te zijn, wat veel beter is. Niettemin is het voor jullie noodzakelijker om in het vlees te blijven. En in het vertrouwen daarvan weet ik dat ik bij jullie allen zal blijven en jullie zal bijstaan tot jullie vooruitgang en vreugde in het geloof.&quot;\u201d <\/i><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Paulus wilde naar Christus toe, maar hij wilde ook dat de gelovigen in Filippi geestelijk zouden groeien in hun relatie met God. Hij wilde dat hun leven vrucht zou dragen tot Gods eer, en hij wilde ook dat hun geloof vol zou zijn van de vreugde die voortkomt uit het leven voor Christus! Of het nu door de dood of door het leven zou zijn, hij verlangde ernaar Christus te verheerlijken en Hem dichter bij hen te brengen!\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Aan het einde van zijn leven zou Paulus kunnen zeggen:, <i>\u201cWant ik word reeds als een drankoffer uitgegoten, en de tijd van mijn heengaan is nabij. Ik heb de goede strijd gestreden, ik heb de wedloop volbracht, ik heb het geloof bewaard. Ten slotte ligt voor mij de kroon van gerechtigheid klaar, die de HEER, de rechtvaardige Rechter, mij op die dag zal geven, en niet alleen aan mij, maar ook aan allen die Zijn verschijning hebben liefgehad.\u201d <\/i>(2 Timote\u00fcs 4:6-8). Paulus zou kunnen zeggen: \u201cIk heb Christus verheerlijkt. Ik ben er klaar voor om uit te varen. Ik heb Hem dichter bij jullie gebracht door hoe ik hier voor Hem heb geleefd, en nu wil ik Hem verheerlijken door en door mijn dood!\u201d<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>O, dat ons leven God dichter bij de mensen brengt die we raken. Mogen zij niet ons zien, maar Hem die wij zo graag willen verheerlijken!<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-594 elementor-widget elementor-widget-template\" data-id=\"594\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"template.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-template\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"section\" data-elementor-id=\"576\" class=\"elementor elementor-576\"
