Vois, j\u2019ai ordonn\u00e9 \u00e0 une veuve de s\u2019y occuper et de te nourrir. \u2019<br \/><strong>1 Rois 17:8-9<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>\u00c9lie s&#039;\u00e9tait montr\u00e9 au roi Achab et lui avait annonc\u00e9 qu&#039;il n&#039;y aurait ni ros\u00e9e ni pluie sans sa parole. Mais le Seigneur lui avait alors ordonn\u00e9 de se cacher pr\u00e8s du torrent de Kerith, o\u00f9 des corbeaux le nourriraient matin et soir. Cependant, les le\u00e7ons concernant la valeur de la vie cach\u00e9e n&#039;\u00e9taient pas termin\u00e9es pour lui. Le Seigneur avait utilis\u00e9 des oiseaux impurs pour nourrir \u00c9lie, et maintenant il allait se servir d&#039;une pauvre veuve qui se trouvait elle-m\u00eame dans une situation d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9e.<\/p><p>\u00c9lie ob\u00e9it et rencontre la veuve aux portes de la ville. Celle-ci ramasse du bois pour faire un feu et pr\u00e9parer son dernier repas avec son fils. Il lui demande\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Apporte-moi un peu d\u2019eau dans un r\u00e9cipient, que je boive\u00a0\u201d (v.\u00a010). Malgr\u00e9 sa souffrance, la veuve commence \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 sa requ\u00eate. \u00c9lie insiste, lui demandant d\u2019apporter du pain avec l\u2019eau. La veuve r\u00e9pond\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Aussi vrai que l\u2019\u00c9ternel, ton Dieu, est vivant, je n\u2019ai rien de cuit, seulement une poign\u00e9e de farine dans un pot et un peu d\u2019huile dans une cruche. Je ramasse maintenant quelques brindilles pour aller pr\u00e9parer un repas pour mon fils et moi, afin que nous mangions et mourions\u00a0\u201d (v.\u00a012). \u00c9lie la rassure alors\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Car ainsi parle l\u2019\u00c9ternel, le Dieu d\u2019Isra\u00ebl\u00a0: le pot de farine ne s\u2019\u00e9puisera pas, et la cruche d\u2019huile ne manquera pas, jusqu\u2019au jour o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00c9ternel fera tomber la pluie sur la terre\u00a0\u201d (v.\u00a014). Cette partie de leur histoire se termine par une b\u00e9n\u00e9diction : \u201c Elle s\u2019en alla donc et fit selon la parole d\u2019\u00c9lie ; et elle, lui et sa maison mang\u00e8rent pendant plusieurs jours \u201d (v. 15).<\/p><p>Quel fut le tournant de cette histoire\u00a0? Ce fut lorsqu\u2019\u00c9lie put dire\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Ainsi parle l\u2019\u00c9ternel, le Dieu d\u2019Isra\u00ebl.\u00a0\u201d \u00c9lie avait appris \u00e0 vivre une vie de soumission en se cachant. Il avait compris que peu de choses abandonn\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9ternel, c\u2019est beaucoup entre ses mains. Alors, ensemble, \u00c9lie et la veuve d\u00e9couvrirent la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 du Psaume 73:25-26\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Qui d\u2019autre ai-je au ciel que toi\u00a0? Et sur la terre, il n\u2019y a personne que je d\u00e9sire en dehors de toi. Ma chair et mon c\u0153ur d\u00e9faillent\u00a0; mais Dieu est le rocher de mon c\u0153ur et mon h\u00e9ritage pour toujours.\u00a0\u201d<\/p><p>L\u2019espoir leur fut offert lorsqu\u2019\u00c9lie l\u2019assura que rien ne manquerait \u201c\u00a0jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que le Seigneur fasse tomber la pluie sur la terre\u00a0\u201d, et ils ressentirent l\u2019aide du Seigneur lorsque \u201c\u00a0le pot de farine ne s\u2019\u00e9puisa pas, ni la cruche d\u2019huile ne se tarit, selon la parole du Seigneur\u00a0\u201d.
