Comment d\u00e9velopper un minist\u00e8re sans manifester publiquement sa pr\u00e9dication et sa puissance ? L&#039;id\u00e9e de se cacher va \u00e0 l&#039;encontre de la nature humaine et du cours du monde. Le Seigneur allait se servir d&#039;\u00c9lie de mani\u00e8re puissante, mais \u00c9lie devait comprendre que cette puissance ne r\u00e9sidait pas en lui-m\u00eame. Il devait faire l&#039;exp\u00e9rience claire que \u201c\u00a0Yahv\u00e9 est Dieu\u00a0\u201d, ce qui est la signification de son nom. \u00c9lie appr\u00e9ciait davantage le Seigneur et le fait qu&#039;il soit un Dieu vivant. Il r\u00e9alisa aussi qu&#039;il se tenait en pr\u00e9sence de son Dieu et qu&#039;il \u00e9tait \u00e0 son \u00e9coute. Mais il devait apprendre la valeur d&#039;une vie cach\u00e9e \u00e0 K\u00e9rith.<\/p><p>Cherith signifie \u201c\u00a0couper\u00a0\u201d, \u201c\u00a0d\u00e9couper\u00a0\u201d ou \u201c\u00a0retrancher\u00a0\u201d. Le Seigneur l&#039;a conduit ici pour le lib\u00e9rer de sa d\u00e9pendance envers lui-m\u00eame. C&#039;est le lieu o\u00f9 le Seigneur nous enseigne \u00e0 nous reposer enti\u00e8rement sur Lui. Cherith est le lieu o\u00f9 Dieu aligne nos pens\u00e9es et nos d\u00e9sirs sur les Siens.<\/p><p>Tout au long de la Bible, le Seigneur cache ses serviteurs avant de les utiliser. Joseph fut cach\u00e9 dans une fosse, puis en prison, avant d&#039;arriver au palais. Mo\u00efse fut cach\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9sert avant de conduire le peuple hors d&#039;\u00c9gypte. David fut cach\u00e9 dans les montagnes, se r\u00e9fugiant dans des grottes pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 Sa\u00fcl, avant d&#039;\u00eatre reconnu comme roi. Paul fut cach\u00e9 pendant trois ans en Arabie apr\u00e8s sa conversion, avant de devenir le missionnaire que nous connaissons sous le nom d&#039;ap\u00f4tre Paul. Et ici, Dieu cache \u00c9lie \u00e0 K\u00e9rith avant le grand conflit du mont Carmel contre les proph\u00e8tes de Baal.<\/p><p>Le slogan original de YouTube \u00e9tait \u201c Diffusez-vous \u201d. Le \u201c slogan \u201d de la vie chr\u00e9tienne est tout \u00e0 fait l&#039;inverse. C&#039;est \u201c Cachez-vous \u201d, comme l&#039;a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Paul : \u201c J&#039;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 crucifi\u00e9 avec Christ ; et si je vis, ce n&#039;est plus moi qui vis, c&#039;est Christ qui vit en moi ; ma vie pr\u00e9sente dans la chair, je la vis dans la foi au Fils de Dieu, qui m&#039;a aim\u00e9 et qui s&#039;est livr\u00e9 lui-m\u00eame pour moi \u201d (Galates 2:20).<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>Non pas moi, mais le Christ !
