Il fit ce qui \u00e9tait droit aux yeux de l&#039;\u00c9ternel et suivit les voies de son p\u00e8re David\u00a0; il ne s&#039;en d\u00e9tourna ni \u00e0 droite ni \u00e0 gauche. \u201d<\/em><br \/><em><strong>2 Chroniques 34:1-2<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Josias rejoint ainsi deux autres rois dont on dit qu&#039;ils \u201c firent ce qui est droit aux yeux de l&#039;\u00c9ternel \u201d. Josaphat, \u00c9z\u00e9chias et Josias sont tous r\u00e9put\u00e9s avoir agi \u201c droitement \u201d aux yeux du Seigneur.<\/p><p>Le mot \u201c juste \u201d peut \u00eatre associ\u00e9 au mot \u201c b\u00e9ni \u201d dans le Psaume 1, o\u00f9 l&#039;on lit : \u201c B\u00e9ni soit l&#039;homme qui ne marche pas selon le conseil des m\u00e9chants, qui ne s&#039;arr\u00eate pas sur le chemin des p\u00e9cheurs, et qui ne s&#039;assied pas en compagnie des moqueurs, mais qui trouve son plaisir dans la loi de l&#039;\u00c9ternel, et qui la m\u00e9dite jour et nuit ! Il est comme un arbre plant\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d&#039;un cours d&#039;eau, qui donne son fruit en sa saison, et dont le feuillage ne se fl\u00e9trit point ; tout ce qu&#039;il fait lui r\u00e9ussit. \u201d Le mot \u201c b\u00e9ni \u201d peut se traduire par \u201c heureux \u201d. Le chemin du bonheur consiste \u00e0 faire ce qui est juste aux yeux du Seigneur !<\/p><p>L\u2019ob\u00e9issance est la cl\u00e9 d\u2019une vie \u00e9panouie et satisfaisante devant le Seigneur. Toute forme d\u2019ob\u00e9issance imparfaite laisse un vide dans le c\u0153ur, et nous ne pouvons y trouver ni v\u00e9ritable satisfaction ni pl\u00e9nitude. David nous le rappelle\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Comment un jeune homme peut-il purifier sa voie\u00a0? En se conformant \u00e0 ta parole. De tout mon c\u0153ur, je te cherche\u00a0; ne me laisse pas m\u2019\u00e9garer loin de tes commandements\u00a0! Je serre ta parole dans mon c\u0153ur, afin de ne pas p\u00e9cher contre toi\u00a0\u201d (Ps. 119.9-11).<\/p><p>Ce type de foi et d&#039;ob\u00e9issance \u00e0 la Parole de Dieu se retrouvait chez Timoth\u00e9e, comme en t\u00e9moignent les instructions de Paul \u00e0 son \u00e9gard\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Que personne ne m\u00e9prise ta jeunesse\u00a0; mais sois un mod\u00e8le pour les croyants, en parole, en conduite, en amour, en esprit, en foi, en puret\u00e9\u00a0\u201d (1 Timoth\u00e9e 4.12). Paul qualifie sa foi de \u201c\u00a0foi authentique\u00a0\u201d en 2 Timoth\u00e9e 1.5, et Timoth\u00e9e avait \u00e0 c\u0153ur d&#039;ob\u00e9ir \u00e0 la Parole de Dieu, et ce, d\u00e8s son enfance (2 Timoth\u00e9e 3.15).<\/p><p>Les similitudes entre Josias et Timoth\u00e9e sont nombreuses, et dans les deux cas, le Seigneur les a r\u00e9compens\u00e9s parce qu&#039;ils ont r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 sa Parole.<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>Et nous aujourd\u2019hui\u00a0? Quelle est notre r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la Parole de Dieu\u00a0?
