Il est employ\u00e9, par exemple, dans ce sens courant et quotidien dans la parabole du tr\u00e9sor cach\u00e9 dans un champ, ce qui a incit\u00e9 l&#039;homme \u00e0 acheter (racheter) le champ (Matthieu 13:44). En lien avec notre salut, ce mot signifie payer le prix du p\u00e9ch\u00e9 afin que nous puissions \u00eatre rachet\u00e9s. Nous voyons dans Apocalypse 5:9 que l&#039;Agneau est ador\u00e9 parce que c&#039;est son sang qui nous a rachet\u00e9s \u00e0 Dieu. Dans 1 Corinthiens 6:19-20, il nous est rappel\u00e9 que \u201c vous avez \u00e9t\u00e9 rachet\u00e9s \u00e0 un grand prix ; glorifiez donc Dieu dans votre corps et dans votre esprit, qui appartiennent \u00e0 Dieu. \u201d<\/p><p>Le second mot est le m\u00eame mot de base auquel on ajoute une pr\u00e9position, ce qui en intensifie le sens. Cela lui donne l&#039;id\u00e9e de \u201c se lib\u00e9rer de \u201d. Ce mot nous rappelle que la mort du Christ a non seulement pay\u00e9 le prix du p\u00e9ch\u00e9, mais nous a aussi arrach\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#039;emprise du p\u00e9ch\u00e9, nous assurant pleinement de ne jamais retomber sous son joug et d&#039;en subir les cons\u00e9quences. Cette v\u00e9rit\u00e9 est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans l&#039;\u00e9p\u00eetre aux Galates. Paul y explique que la mort du Christ a eu pour but de \u201c racheter ceux qui \u00e9taient sous la loi \u201d (Galates 4.5). Il dit aussi que \u201c Christ nous a rachet\u00e9s de la mal\u00e9diction de la loi, \u00e9tant devenu mal\u00e9diction pour nous \u201d (Galates 3.13). Nous \u00e9tions \u201c asservis aux principes du monde \u201d (Galates 4.3). Ce second emploi du mot \u00ab r\u00e9demption \u00bb nous rappelle que les croyants sont plac\u00e9s dans une nouvelle position en Christ par rapport \u00e0 la loi et \u00e0 ce monde.<\/p><p>Le troisi\u00e8me terme souvent employ\u00e9 pour d\u00e9signer la r\u00e9demption signifie \u201c\u00a0d\u00e9lier\u00a0\u201d ou \u201c\u00a0lib\u00e9rer en payant un prix\u00a0\u201d. Cette lib\u00e9ration s\u2019op\u00e8re par l\u2019\u0153uvre sacrificielle du Christ. C\u2019est ce que Paul a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019il a \u00e9crit\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Car il y a un seul Dieu et un seul m\u00e9diateur entre Dieu et les hommes, J\u00e9sus-Christ homme, qui s\u2019est donn\u00e9 lui-m\u00eame en ran\u00e7on pour tous\u00a0\u201d (1 Timoth\u00e9e 2.5-6). Le fondement de notre r\u00e9demption est le sang du Christ. H\u00e9breux 9.12 nous rappelle que nous avons obtenu la r\u00e9demption \u00e9ternelle par son sang. Pierre d\u00e9clare\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Sachez que vous avez \u00e9t\u00e9 rachet\u00e9s non par des choses corruptibles, comme l\u2019argent ou l\u2019or\u2026 mais par le sang pr\u00e9cieux de Christ, comme d\u2019un agneau sans d\u00e9faut et sans tache\u00a0\u201d (1 Pierre 1.18-19).<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>La mort du Christ et notre r\u00e9demption devraient avoir une incidence morale sur notre mani\u00e8re de vivre ici-bas.
