Il devait apprendre \u00e0 attendre patiemment le Seigneur et \u00e0 veiller sur lui. Ce chapitre nous rappelle Asaph, dans le Psaume 73, qui lui aussi ignorait les voies de Dieu. Il ne comprenait pas pourquoi de bonnes choses arrivaient aux m\u00e9chants jusqu&#039;\u00e0 ce qu&#039;il se rende dans la maison du Seigneur et commence \u00e0 voir les choses du point de vue divin. Pour Habacuc, cette r\u00e9v\u00e9lation a lieu sur la tour de guet. Le Seigneur commence \u00e0 lui montrer les choses de son point de vue en lui confiant trois responsabilit\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Il devait tout d&#039;abord consigner les \u00e9v\u00e9nements par \u00e9crit. Habacuc avait endoss\u00e9 le r\u00f4le d&#039;un guetteur, charg\u00e9 d&#039;avertir le peuple du danger. La r\u00e9v\u00e9lation qu&#039;il re\u00e7ut s&#039;appliquait imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 la chute des Babyloniens, mais, selon H\u00e9breux 10:37, elle annon\u00e7ait aussi le retour futur de notre Seigneur.<\/p><p>La deuxi\u00e8me responsabilit\u00e9 confi\u00e9e \u00e0 Habacuc \u00e9tait de faire confiance \u00e0 la Parole de Dieu. Le Seigneur lui a donn\u00e9 un contraste entre ceux qui se fient \u00e0 eux-m\u00eames et ceux qui vivent par la foi. Aux versets 4 et 5, nous voyons les cons\u00e9quences de l&#039;orgueil et de l&#039;insatisfaction. \u00c0 ces personnes, le Seigneur prononce cinq malheurs tout au long du chapitre\u00a0: malheur \u00e0 l&#039;ambition \u00e9go\u00efste (2,6-8), malheur \u00e0 la convoitise (2,9-11), malheur \u00e0 l&#039;exploitation d&#039;autrui (2,12-14), malheur \u00e0 l&#039;ivrognerie et \u00e0 la violence (2,15-17), et malheur \u00e0 l&#039;idol\u00e2trie (2,18-20). Prononcer ce jugement \u00e9tait la troisi\u00e8me responsabilit\u00e9 confi\u00e9e \u00e0 Habacuc.<\/p><p>\u00c0 l&#039;inverse, il y a ceux qui vivent par la foi. Nous savons que l&#039;affirmation \u201c le juste vivra par la foi \u201d est cit\u00e9e trois fois dans le Nouveau Testament\u00a0: en Romains 1.17, o\u00f9 l&#039;accent est mis sur \u201c le juste \u201d\u00a0; en Galates 3.11, o\u00f9 l&#039;accent est mis sur \u201c vivra \u201d\u00a0; et en H\u00e9breux 10.38, o\u00f9 l&#039;accent est mis sur \u201c par la foi \u201d. Cela nous rappelle que la justice se trouve uniquement en Christ et que nous devons vivre par la foi.<\/p><p>Au verset 4, le Seigneur pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 Habacuc sa gr\u00e2ce, et au verset 14, la perspective de sa gloire\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Car la terre sera remplie de la connaissance de la gloire du Seigneur, comme les eaux recouvrent la mer.\u00a0\u201d Il rappelle aussi au proph\u00e8te son autorit\u00e9\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Mais le Seigneur est dans son saint temple. Que toute la terre fasse silence devant lui\u00a0!\u00a0\u201d (2,20). Notre Dieu est souverain\u00a0! Quel r\u00e9confort de se souvenir de ces trois choses \u00e0 notre \u00e9poque\u00a0!<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>Souvenons-nous de la parole de Dieu et ayons confiance en elle.
