Car ce que je craignais le plus m\u2019est arriv\u00e9, et ce que je redoutais m\u2019est arriv\u00e9. \u201d<br \/><strong>Job 3:24\u201325<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>En lisant les premiers chapitres du livre de Job, nous apprenons que Job \u00e9tait un homme int\u00e8gre, un homme qui r\u00e9v\u00e9rait Dieu et fuyait le mal. Il \u00e9tait irr\u00e9prochable et droit. Satan chercha \u00e0 le discr\u00e9diter devant Dieu et fut autoris\u00e9 \u00e0 lui prendre tous ses biens. Job perdit ses enfants et son b\u00e9tail, puis Satan l&#039;attaqua physiquement, sans toutefois lui permettre de lui \u00f4ter la vie. \u201c En tout cela \u201d, nous est-il dit, \u201c Job ne p\u00e9cha point et n&#039;accusa point Dieu d&#039;injustice \u201d (Job 1:22). La seule r\u00e9ponse de Job fut : \u201c Accepterons-nous donc le bien de Dieu, et n&#039;accepterons-nous pas aussi le mal ? \u2018 En tout cela, Job ne p\u00e9cha point par ses paroles.\u2019<\/p><p>Il est int\u00e9ressant d&#039;entendre Job dire : \u201c Car ce que je redoutais le plus m&#039;est arriv\u00e9, ce que je redoutais m&#039;est parvenu. \u201d Il nourrissait la crainte pr\u00e9con\u00e7ue qu&#039;une telle chose puisse se produire. Nous ne devons pas laisser les graines de la peur s&#039;insinuer en nous, nous influer et nous emplir d&#039;inqui\u00e9tude, d&#039;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 ou de peur.<\/p><p>Dans les \u00c9critures, nous lisons \u00e0 maintes reprises\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0N\u2019ayez pas peur\u00a0\u201d, \u201c\u00a0Ne craignez rien\u00a0\u201d, \u201c\u00a0Ne vous inqui\u00e9tez pas\u00a0\u201d. Ces exhortations reviennent fr\u00e9quemment car la peur est l\u2019une des cons\u00e9quences de l\u2019entr\u00e9e du p\u00e9ch\u00e9 dans le monde. Il est essentiel de se rappeler que cette peur ne vient pas de Dieu. En effet, il est \u00e9crit\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Puisque les enfants ont particip\u00e9 au sang et \u00e0 la chair, lui aussi y a particip\u00e9 de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, afin que, par sa mort, il an\u00e9antisse celui qui d\u00e9tenait le pouvoir de la mort, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire le diable, et qu\u2019il d\u00e9livre ceux qui, par crainte de la mort, \u00e9taient toute leur vie tenus en esclavage\u00a0\u201d (H\u00e9breux 2.14-15). Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus a \u00e9galement d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Si donc le Fils vous affranchit, vous serez r\u00e9ellement libres\u00a0\u201d (Jean 8.36).<\/p><p>Timoth\u00e9e avait tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre timide et \u00e0 se laisser influencer par la peur, comme beaucoup d&#039;entre nous. Mais Paul lui a rappel\u00e9 : \u201c Car Dieu ne nous a pas donn\u00e9 un esprit de timidit\u00e9, mais un esprit de force, d&#039;amour et de sagesse \u201d (2 Timoth\u00e9e 1.7). Dans Philippiens 4.6-7, Paul nous rappelle que le chemin vers cette paix ne consiste pas \u00e0 c\u00e9der \u00e0 nos peurs, mais \u00e0 faire confiance \u00e0 Dieu et \u00e0 nous reposer sur lui : \u201c Ne vous inqui\u00e9tez de rien ; mais en toute chose, par la pri\u00e8re et la supplication, avec des actions de gr\u00e2ces, faites conna\u00eetre \u00e0 Dieu vos demandes.
