Nourris-moi du pain qui m\u2019est donn\u00e9, de peur qu\u2019apr\u00e8s ma sati\u00e9t\u00e9 je ne te renie et ne dise\u00a0: \u2018\u00a0Qui est l\u2019\u00c9ternel\u00a0?\u00a0\u2019 Ou que, dans la pauvret\u00e9 je ne vole et ne profane le nom de mon Dieu. \u201d<br \/><strong>Proverbes 30:7-9<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Nous avons vu que, dans sa pri\u00e8re, Agur demandait au Seigneur deux choses pr\u00e9cises\u00a0: l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 et le contentement. Nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 examin\u00e9 son d\u00e9sir d\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9\u00a0; consid\u00e9rons maintenant la seconde partie de sa pri\u00e8re\u00a0: son d\u00e9sir d\u2019\u00eatre satisfait de ce que Dieu lui avait donn\u00e9. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019on appelle le contentement.<\/p><p>Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus nous rappelle : \u201c Car l\u00e0 o\u00f9 est ton tr\u00e9sor, l\u00e0 aussi sera ton c\u0153ur \u201d (Matthieu 6.21). L\u2019ap\u00f4tre Paul a \u00e9crit : \u201c La pi\u00e9t\u00e9, avec le contentement, est une grande source de gain\u2026 Car l\u2019amour de l\u2019argent est la racine de tous les maux \u201d (1 Timoth\u00e9e 6.6, 10). Ces versets nous rappellent o\u00f9 doivent se situer nos priorit\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Il n\u2019y a rien de mal \u00e0 prier pour nos besoins\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Donne-nous aujourd\u2019hui notre pain quotidien\u2026 Et ne nous soumets pas \u00e0 la tentation, mais d\u00e9livre-nous du mal\u00a0\u201d (Matthieu 6.11, 13). Mais nous ne devons pas \u201c\u00a0nous inqui\u00e9ter, en disant\u00a0: \u2018Que mangerons-nous\u00a0? Que boirons-nous\u00a0? De quoi nous v\u00eatirons-nous\u00a0?\u2019 Car ce sont les pa\u00efens qui recherchent toutes ces choses. Votre P\u00e8re c\u00e9leste sait que vous en avez besoin. Cherchez d\u2019abord le royaume de Dieu et sa justice, et tout cela vous sera donn\u00e9 par-dessus\u00a0\u2018 (Matthieu 6.31-33).<\/p><p>Nous voyons ce contentement chez l\u2019ap\u00f4tre Paul lorsqu\u2019il \u00e9crit\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Ce n\u2019est pas par besoin que je parle, car j\u2019ai appris \u00e0 \u00eatre content de l\u2019\u00e9tat o\u00f9 je me trouve. Je sais vivre dans l\u2019humilit\u00e9, et je sais vivre dans l\u2019abondance. En toutes circonstances et partout, j\u2019ai appris \u00e0 \u00eatre rassasi\u00e9 et \u00e0 avoir faim, \u00e0 \u00eatre dans l\u2019abondance et \u00e0 \u00eatre dans le besoin\u00a0\u201d (Philippiens 4:11-12).<\/p><p>En tant que disciples de J\u00e9sus-Christ, il d\u00e9sire que nous lui fassions confiance pour tous nos besoins, petits ou grands. Nous servons un Dieu tout-puissant qui est capable de \u201c pourvoir \u00e0 tous vos besoins selon sa richesse, avec gloire, en J\u00e9sus-Christ \u201d (Philippiens 4.19).<\/p><p>Nous vivons dans un monde insatisfait, et toutes les publicit\u00e9s nous incitent \u00e0 l&#039;insatisfaction. Or, nous avons besoin de l&#039;attitude d&#039;Agur, qui d\u00e9sirait se contenter de ce que le Seigneur lui offrait.<\/p><p><strong>Ancre pour aujourd&#039;hui<\/strong><br \/>Que le Seigneur soit notre but, et qu&#039;il nous aide \u00e0 nous contenter de ses bienfaits quotidiens.
