Elle d\u00e9crit la v\u00e9ritable saintet\u00e9, la spiritualit\u00e9 et la vertu. <em>contentement<\/em> Cela signifie \u201c une autonomie int\u00e9rieure \u201d. Ce terme \u00e9tait souvent utilis\u00e9 pour d\u00e9crire une personne en paix int\u00e9rieurement et insensible aux circonstances ext\u00e9rieures \u2014 une personne qui r\u00e9agit de mani\u00e8re appropri\u00e9e \u00e0 son environnement.<\/p><p>Lorsque nous combinons ces deux mots, <em>saintet\u00e9<\/em> et <em>contentement<\/em>, Nous apprenons que ces deux aspects doivent se manifester dans notre vie de disciples de J\u00e9sus-Christ. Nous sommes appel\u00e9s \u00e0 avoir \u201c un mode de vie qui refl\u00e8te constamment le caract\u00e8re de Dieu \u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Paul poursuit en \u00e9non\u00e7ant quatre v\u00e9rit\u00e9s qui nous aident \u00e0 mener une vie chr\u00e9tienne \u00e9panouie, refl\u00e9tant fid\u00e8lement le caract\u00e8re de Dieu.<\/p><p>Premi\u00e8rement, nous apprenons que le contentement ne provient pas des possessions ni de la richesse. Le contentement provient d&#039;une vie pieuse qui fait confiance \u00e0 Dieu et d\u00e9pend de lui en toutes circonstances (2 Corinthiens 3:5 ; Philippiens 4:11).<\/p><p>Deuxi\u00e8mement, les biens mat\u00e9riels sont \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res. Nous n&#039;avons rien apport\u00e9 au monde et nous n&#039;en retirerons rien de mat\u00e9riel (Job 1:21 ; Ps. 49:17 ; Eccl. 5:15).<\/p><p>Troisi\u00e8mement, le Seigneur pourvoit fid\u00e8lement \u00e0 nos besoins fondamentaux. Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus a dit\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0C\u2019est pourquoi je vous dis\u00a0: Ne vous inqui\u00e9tez pas pour votre vie, de ce que vous mangerez, ni pour votre corps, de quoi vous serez v\u00eatus. La vie n\u2019est-elle pas plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que le v\u00eatement\u00a0? Regardez les oiseaux du ciel\u00a0: ils ne s\u00e8ment ni ne moissonnent, ils n\u2019amassent rien dans des greniers, et votre P\u00e8re c\u00e9leste les nourrit. Ne valez-vous pas beaucoup plus qu\u2019eux\u00a0?\u00a0\u201d (Matthieu 6.25-26).<\/p><p>Quatri\u00e8mement, aux versets 9 et 10, Paul utilise le mot <em>d\u00e9sir<\/em>, Ce terme sous-entend \u201c \u00e0 tout prix \u201d ou \u201c avec une d\u00e9termination in\u00e9branlable \u201d. Le d\u00e9sir de s&#039;enrichir peut nous conduire au p\u00e9ch\u00e9. Paul nous avertit qu&#039;un tel d\u00e9sir peut devenir un pi\u00e8ge, engendrant des convoitises et des d\u00e9sirs pernicieux, et menant \u00e0 la ruine et \u00e0 la destruction spirituelles.<\/p><p>En revanche, Paul interpelle Timoth\u00e9e \u2014 et nous \u2014 au verset 11, en nous rappelant les bons d\u00e9sirs et les aspirations qui devraient caract\u00e9riser ceux qui suivent le Christ : \u201c Mais toi, homme de Dieu, fuis ces choses et recherche la justice, la pi\u00e9t\u00e9, la foi, l\u2019amour, la patience, la douceur. \u201d<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>Le contentement chr\u00e9tien est un doux \u00e9tat d&#039;esprit int\u00e9rieur, qui se soumet \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 de Dieu et s&#039;en r\u00e9jouit en toutes circonstances.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Godliness With Contentment &#8220;Now godliness with contentment is great gain\u2026 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.&#8221;1 Timothy 6:6, 11 Godliness is often translated as piety, reverence, or likeness to God.
