Pierre, ap\u00f4tre de J\u00e9sus-Christ, aux p\u00e8lerins de la Dispersion au Pont, en Galatie, en Cappadoce, en Asie et en Bithynie.
<\/em>1 Pierre 1:1\u20132<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>

L\u2019ap\u00f4tre Pierre \u00e9crit cette lettre aux croyants qui vivent dans un monde hostile, hostile \u00e0 ceux qui d\u00e9sirent vivre pour le Christ.<\/p>

Bien qu'ils soient dispers\u00e9s dans toute la r\u00e9gion, Pierre souhaite qu'ils prennent conscience de leur place en Christ. Il les appelle p\u00e8lerins, c'est-\u00e0-dire ceux qui ne sont pas chez eux, qui ne font que passer, qui ne sont pas chez eux mais en terre \u00e9trang\u00e8re. Il voulait qu'ils comprennent que leur \u201c\u00a0citoyennet\u00e9 est dans les cieux\u00a0\u201d (Phil. 3,20) et que cette citoyennet\u00e9 prime sur tout. Ils sont peut-\u00eatre citoyens de l'Empire romain, mais ils sont en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des p\u00e8lerins de Dieu, des \u00e9trangers spirituels en qu\u00eate d'une \u201c\u00a0cit\u00e9 qui a de solides fondements, dont Dieu est l'architecte et le constructeur\u00a0\u201d (H\u00e9b. 11,10). Cela implique que leur citoyennet\u00e9 terrestre est secondaire. Ils devaient se consid\u00e9rer comme vivant temporairement dans un environnement \u00e9tranger (cf. 1 Pierre 2,11-12).<\/p>

Pierre ne leur demande pas de se retirer du monde pour se r\u00e9fugier dans un monast\u00e8re, loin du monde hostile qui les entoure. Au contraire, son d\u00e9sir est de les entourer d'un enseignement qui les fortifierait et les pr\u00e9parerait \u00e0 r\u00e9sister au diable (5,7), et \u201c \u00e0 \u00eatre pr\u00eats \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 quiconque vous demande raison de l'esp\u00e9rance qui est en vous, avec douceur et respect \u201d (3,15). Le croyant d'aujourd'hui lutte constamment contre le courant de ce monde. Si nous perdons de vue notre place dans ce monde, nous serons d\u00e9courag\u00e9s. Nous devons garder les yeux fix\u00e9s sur l'esp\u00e9rance c\u00e9leste, la contempler de loin, l'embrasser et confesser que nous sommes \u201c \u00e9trangers et voyageurs sur la terre \u201d (H\u00e9breux 11,13).<\/p>
