Paul nous le rappelle dans ce verset\u00a0: la v\u00e9ritable satisfaction ne se trouve pas dans nos richesses, mais en Dieu qui non seulement pourvoit \u00e0 tous nos besoins, mais qui d\u00e9sire aussi que nous jouissions de ce qu&#039;il nous offre. Voil\u00e0 le secret du vrai contentement\u00a0: se r\u00e9jouir en Celui qui nous b\u00e9nit plus que nous ne nous r\u00e9jouissons des bienfaits re\u00e7us\u00a0!<\/p><p>Mo\u00efse nous donne un exemple \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard. On lit : \u201c Par la foi, Mo\u00efse, devenu grand, refusa d\u2019\u00eatre appel\u00e9 fils de la fille de Pharaon, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant \u00eatre maltrait\u00e9 avec le peuple de Dieu plut\u00f4t que de jouir des plaisirs \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res du p\u00e9ch\u00e9. Il consid\u00e9rait l\u2019opprobre du Christ comme une richesse plus grande que les tr\u00e9sors d\u2019\u00c9gypte, car il avait les yeux fix\u00e9s sur la r\u00e9compense \u201d (H\u00e9breux 11.24-26). Mo\u00efse savait qu\u2019il ne devait pas placer son esp\u00e9rance dans l\u2019incertitude des richesses, mais en Dieu lui-m\u00eame !<\/p><p>Salomon, quant \u00e0 lui, dut l&#039;apprendre \u00e0 ses d\u00e9pens. L&#039;Eccl\u00e9siaste relate sa qu\u00eate de satisfaction, cherchant le contentement en tout sauf en Dieu. Il pensait que les plaisirs mat\u00e9riels pourraient combler ses besoins (Eccl. 2, 1-3), mais cela ne fit que le laisser insatisfait. Il pensait que les biens mat\u00e9riels pourraient lui apporter le contentement (vv. 7-8), mais au terme de ses recherches, il d\u00e9clara : \u201c J&#039;ai ha\u00ef la vie, car ce qui se fait sous le soleil m&#039;\u00e9tait p\u00e9nible ; car tout est vanit\u00e9 et poursuite du vent \u201d (v. 17).<\/p><p>Comme tant d&#039;autres aujourd&#039;hui, Salomon \u00e9tait en qu\u00eate du sens de la vie, d&#039;un v\u00e9ritable espoir pour l&#039;avenir.
