Il s&#039;agit en fait de la seule pri\u00e8re consign\u00e9e dans les Proverbes. Il demandait au Seigneur deux choses pr\u00e9cises\u00a0: l&#039;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 et le contentement.<\/p><p>Agur aspirait \u00e0 une vie int\u00e8gre devant son Dieu, une vie qu&#039;il d\u00e9crivait comme exempte de mensonge et de fausset\u00e9. Le mot employ\u00e9 pour \u00ab\u00a0fausset\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb signifie vacuit\u00e9 ou vanit\u00e9. Le mot pour \u00ab\u00a0mensonge\u00a0\u00bb signifie contrefa\u00e7on ou tromperie. Ces deux mots saisissent l&#039;essence m\u00eame de ce monde, avec ses promesses vaines et sa nature trompeuse. Agur ne prie pas pour obtenir l&#039;aide n\u00e9cessaire pour dire la v\u00e9rit\u00e9\u00a0; il prie pour \u00eatre pr\u00e9serv\u00e9 de la s\u00e9duction de tout ce qui est faux et de tout ce qui n&#039;est pas vrai\u00a0!<\/p><p>On dit souvent que \u201c la r\u00e9putation, c&#039;est ce que les gens pensent de vous ; l&#039;int\u00e9grit\u00e9, c&#039;est ce que nous sommes en l&#039;absence de t\u00e9moins ! \u201d Ce monde cherchera \u00e0 nous d\u00e9tourner du Seigneur par de fausses promesses, de faux espoirs et de faux plaisirs. Mais la Parole de V\u00e9rit\u00e9, la Bible, nous conduit vers Celui qui est la V\u00e9rit\u00e9, le Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ. Agur ne se faisait pas confiance et ne se fiait pas \u00e0 sa propre chair !<\/p><p>Jacques nous avertit : \u201c Ne savez-vous pas que l\u2019amiti\u00e9 du monde est inimiti\u00e9 contre Dieu ? Celui donc qui veut \u00eatre ami du monde se rend ennemi de Dieu \u201d (Jc 4,4). David disait : \u201c D\u00e9tourne mes yeux de ce qui est vain \u201d (Ps 119,37).\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Ancre du jour :<br \/><\/strong>Avons-nous la sagesse et la d\u00e9votion d&#039;Agur ? Puissions-nous \u201c tourner nos yeux vers J\u00e9sus, contempler pleinement son visage merveilleux, et les choses de la terre s&#039;estomperont \u00e9trangement \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re de sa gloire et de sa gr\u00e2ce. \u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A
