Il \u00e9tait inscrit dans le c\u0153ur et l&#039;esprit de Dieu depuis toute \u00e9ternit\u00e9. Avant m\u00eame le commencement du temps, le plan de notre r\u00e9demption \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tabli, et au centre de ce plan se trouvent la personne et l&#039;\u0153uvre du Fils bien-aim\u00e9 de Dieu, le Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ. Lorsque nous m\u00e9ditons sur l&#039;\u0153uvre du Christ, une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 nous appara\u00eet avec une clart\u00e9 remarquable\u00a0: il est mort \u00e0 notre place. Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ est notre substitut.<\/p><p data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"1275\">Alors que le mot <em data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"772\">substitution<\/em> Bien que le concept lui-m\u00eame n&#039;apparaisse pas dans la Bible, sa v\u00e9rit\u00e9 est tiss\u00e9e comme un fil \u00e9carlate \u00e0 travers toute l&#039;\u00c9criture. L&#039;une des illustrations les plus claires nous vient du r\u00e9cit bien connu de la Gen\u00e8se 22, lorsqu&#039;Abraham, ob\u00e9issant \u00e0 l&#039;ordre de Dieu, emmena Isaac sur le mont Moriah pour l&#039;offrir en sacrifice. Au moment o\u00f9 il allait accomplir son acte, le Seigneur intervint et un b\u00e9lier pris dans un buisson devint l&#039;holocauste \u2013 \u201c offert \u00e0 la place de son fils \u201d. Cette simple expression illustre la substitution : l&#039;un prenant la place de l&#039;autre.<\/p><p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1745\">Ceci nous am\u00e8ne \u00e0 la question\u00a0: pourquoi avons-nous besoin d\u2019un substitut\u00a0? La Bible ne nous laisse pas dans l\u2019ignorance \u00e0 ce sujet. Romains 3.23 dit clairement\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Tous ont p\u00e9ch\u00e9 et sont priv\u00e9s de la gloire de Dieu\u00a0\u201d, et au chapitre 6\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Le salaire du p\u00e9ch\u00e9, c\u2019est la mort.\u00a0\u201d Telle est la condition universelle de l\u2019humanit\u00e9\u00a0: nous sommes tous coupables devant un Dieu saint. Mais lou\u00e9 soit Dieu, car il a pourvu \u00e0 un salut\u00a0: un Substitut, qui a pris notre place, a port\u00e9 notre jugement et nous a ouvert le chemin de la vie \u00e9ternelle.<\/p><p data-start=\"2174\" data-end=\"2666\">Dans le Nouveau Testament, l\u2019id\u00e9e de substitution est exprim\u00e9e par des formules telles que \u201c pour nous \u201d et \u201c \u00e0 notre place \u201d.
