Le Chemin. La V\u00e9rit\u00e9. La Vie.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201c Je suis le Chemin, la V\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la Vie. Nul ne vient au P\u00e8re que par moi. \u201d<\/em>
Jean 14:6<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Cette d\u00e9claration est l'une des sept affirmations \u201c Je suis \u201d de J\u00e9sus. La veille de sa mort au Calvaire, le Seigneur J\u00e9sus pr\u00e9para ses disciples pour les jours \u00e0 venir. Ces hommes le suivaient depuis plus de trois ans, apprenant de son enseignement et de son exemple. Ils avaient plac\u00e9 leur esp\u00e9rance en lui, le reconnaissant comme le Messie, le Lib\u00e9rateur promis, mais ils ne comprenaient toujours pas comment il accomplirait cette d\u00e9livrance.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s le repas de la P\u00e2que, le Seigneur commen\u00e7a \u00e0 parler de son d\u00e9part, ce qui suscita des questions de la part de ses disciples. Jean 13:33<\/em>, J\u00e9sus a dit :<\/p>

\u201c Mes petits enfants, je serai encore un peu de temps avec vous. Vous me chercherez ; et comme je l\u2019ai dit aux Juifs : \u2018 L\u00e0 o\u00f9 je vais, vous ne pouvez pas venir \u2019, je vous le dis aussi maintenant. \u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Cela a incit\u00e9 Pierre \u00e0 demander o\u00f9 il allait (Jean 13:36<\/em>Pierre et les autres ne comprenaient pas que J\u00e9sus parlait de sa mort et de son ascension au ciel. J\u00e9sus r\u00e9pondit\u00a0:, \u201c L\u00e0 o\u00f9 je vais, tu ne peux pas me suivre maintenant, mais tu me suivras plus tard. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

Pierre est le premier des quatre disciples \u00e0 poser des questions en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la d\u00e9claration de J\u00e9sus au verset 33\u00a0: Pierre<\/strong> (13:36\u201314:4<\/em>); Thomas<\/strong> (14:5\u20137<\/em>); Philippe<\/strong> (14:7\u201321<\/em>); Judas<\/strong> (pas Iscariote) (14:22\u201331<\/em>);<\/p>

Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter qu'une partie de la tradition de la P\u00e2que impliquait un temps consacr\u00e9 aux questions (Exode 12:26\u201327<\/em>Toujours incr\u00e9dule, Pierre d\u00e9clara qu'il suivrait le Seigneur partout, m\u00eame jusqu'\u00e0 donner sa vie. Les disciples \u00e9taient visiblement troubl\u00e9s et afflig\u00e9s dans leur c\u0153ur.Jean 14:1, 27\u00a0; 16:6, 20-22<\/em>), nous donnant un aper\u00e7u de l'atmosph\u00e8re sombre et s\u00e9rieuse qui r\u00e9gnait dans la pi\u00e8ce du haut.<\/p>

Dans sa r\u00e9ponse, le Seigneur J\u00e9sus donne une triple r\u00e9ponse pour r\u00e9conforter et instruire ses disciples\u00a0:<\/p>

L\u2019objet de notre foi \u2013 Sa personne : <\/strong>\u201c Vous croyez en Dieu, croyez aussi en moi. \u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jean 14:1<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

La promesse d'une demeure c\u00e9leste : <\/strong>\u201c Dans la maison de mon P\u00e8re, il y a de nombreuses demeures\u2026 \u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jean 14:2<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

La perspective de son retour : <\/strong>\u201c Je reviendrai et je vous accueillerai aupr\u00e8s de moi\u2026 \u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jean 14:3<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

Alors le Seigneur dit :, \u201c Et o\u00f9 je vais, tu le sais, et le chemin que tu connais \u201d<\/em> (Jean 14:4<\/em>Prenant la parole au nom des autres, Thomas r\u00e9pondit qu'ils ne savaient pas o\u00f9 il allait et qu'ils ne pouvaient donc pas conna\u00eetre le chemin.<\/p>

En r\u00e9ponse, J\u00e9sus a donn\u00e9 la sixi\u00e8me de ses sept d\u00e9clarations \u201c Je suis \u201d :<\/p>

\u201c Je suis le Chemin, la V\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la Vie. Nul ne vient au P\u00e8re que par moi. \u201d<\/em> (Jean 14:6<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>
