Et soudain, une multitude d'anges apparut avec l'ange, louant Dieu et disant : \u201c Gloire \u00e0 Dieu au plus haut des cieux, et paix sur la terre parmi les hommes qu'il agr\u00e9e ! \u201d

<\/em><\/p>

On entend beaucoup parler de \u201c paix sur terre \u201d en cette p\u00e9riode de l'ann\u00e9e. On l'entend dans les chansons et on la voit sur les cartes de v\u0153ux, mais en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, elle se lit rarement sur les visages. La paix est un d\u00e9sir universel, pourtant peu semblent la trouver. On la d\u00e9crit souvent comme \u201c la tranquillit\u00e9, l'harmonie ou la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u201d, mais nous savons qu'elle est bien plus complexe qu'une simple d\u00e9finition.<\/p>

La paix ne peut entrer dans le c\u0153ur que lorsque nous sommes en paix avec Dieu. Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus est all\u00e9 \u00e0 la croix et a port\u00e9 sur lui le ch\u00e2timent qui nous prive de notre paix (\u00c9sa\u00efe 53:5), nous permettant ainsi d'avoir la paix avec Dieu. Paul nous le rappelle\u00a0:, \u201c Ainsi donc, justifi\u00e9s par la foi, nous avons la paix avec Dieu par notre Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ. \u201d<\/em> (Romains 5:1).<\/p>

Avoir la paix avec Dieu est le premier pas vers la paix de Dieu dans nos c\u0153urs, et Dieu d\u00e9sire que cette paix emplisse nos vies. Pour beaucoup, c'est un concept \u00e9tranger, mais dans Philippiens 4:6-7, nous lisons\u00a0: \u201c Ne vous inqui\u00e9tez de rien ; mais en toute chose, par la pri\u00e8re et la supplication, avec des actions de gr\u00e2ces, faites conna\u00eetre \u00e0 Dieu vos demandes ; et la paix de Dieu, qui surpasse toute intelligence, gardera vos c\u0153urs et vos pens\u00e9es en J\u00e9sus-Christ. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

Les soucis de la vie, le stress des circonstances et la peur de l'inconnu privent de nombreux croyants de la paix de Dieu, cette paix m\u00eame qui est capable de garder (ou de prot\u00e9ger) nos c\u0153urs et nos esprits. Dans le monde o\u00f9 nous vivons, comment est-ce possible\u00a0? Une solution consiste \u00e0 \u00eatre attentif \u00e0 ce qui occupe nos pens\u00e9es. C'est pourquoi Paul poursuit en disant\u00a0: \u201c Enfin, fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs, que tout ce qui est vrai, tout ce qui est noble, tout ce qui est juste, tout ce qui est pur, tout ce qui est aimable, tout ce qui m\u00e9rite l\u2019approbation, tout ce qui est vertueux et digne de louange, soit l\u2019objet de vos pens\u00e9es. Ce que vous avez appris, re\u00e7u, entendu et vu en moi, mettez-le en pratique, et le Dieu de paix sera avec vous. \u201d <\/em><\/p>
