\u201c Et soudain, une multitude d'anges apparut avec l'ange, louant Dieu et disant : \u2018 Gloire \u00e0 Dieu au plus haut des cieux, et paix sur la terre parmi les hommes qu'il agr\u00e9e ! \u2019 \u201d<\/em>

<\/strong><\/p>

La multitude des arm\u00e9es c\u00e9lestes loua Dieu en disant :, \u201cGloire \u00e0 Dieu au plus haut des cieux, et paix sur la terre parmi les hommes qu\u2019il agr\u00e9e!\u201d<\/em> En nous concentrant sur la seconde partie de ce th\u00e8me, nous apprenons que la venue du Seigneur J\u00e9sus n'\u00e9tait pas seulement pour la gloire de Dieu, mais aussi pour le bien de l'humanit\u00e9. \u201c Sur terre, paix et bienveillance envers les hommes \u201d<\/em> pourrait \u00eatre compris comme, \u201c Sur la terre, la paix soit avec ceux qu\u2019il agr\u00e9e. \u201d<\/em> Cela ne signifie pas qu'on puisse plaire \u00e0 Dieu par les bonnes \u0153uvres\u00a0; l'\u00c9criture affirme clairement que le salut ne s'obtient pas par les \u0153uvres (\u00c9ph\u00e9siens 2.8-9). La paix proclam\u00e9e par les anges est la paix avec Dieu, qui d\u00e9coule du salut.<\/p>

Romains 5:1 le dit clairement : \u201c Ainsi donc, justifi\u00e9s par la foi, nous avons la paix avec Dieu par notre Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ. \u201d<\/em> Pierre a \u00e9galement parl\u00e9 de ce message : \u201c La parole que Dieu a envoy\u00e9e aux enfants d\u2019Isra\u00ebl, annon\u00e7ant la paix par J\u00e9sus-Christ, qui est Seigneur de tous. \u201d<\/em> (Actes 10:36).<\/p>

La possibilit\u00e9 de cette paix \u00e9mane du c\u0153ur d'un Dieu d'amour qui est \u201c Patient envers nous, ne voulant pas qu\u2019aucun p\u00e9risse, mais que tous parviennent \u00e0 la repentance. \u201d<\/em> (2 Pierre 3:9). Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus a port\u00e9 sur la croix le ch\u00e2timent qui nous apporte la paix (\u00c9sa\u00efe 53:5), nous rendant ainsi possibles la r\u00e9conciliation avec Dieu. Cette r\u00e9conciliation s\u2019obtient par la foi en son \u0153uvre accomplie. Paul \u00e9crit\u00a0:, \u201c Car si, lorsque nous \u00e9tions ennemis, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9concili\u00e9s avec Dieu par la mort de son Fils, \u00e0 plus forte raison, maintenant que nous sommes r\u00e9concili\u00e9s, serons-nous sauv\u00e9s par sa vie. \u201d<\/em> (Rom. 5:10).<\/p>

Il explique plus en d\u00e9tail dans 2 Corinthiens 5:18-19\u00a0: \u201c Or tout vient de Dieu, qui nous a r\u00e9concili\u00e9s avec lui par J\u00e9sus-Christ et nous a confi\u00e9 le minist\u00e8re de la r\u00e9conciliation ; car Dieu \u00e9tait en Christ, r\u00e9conciliant le monde avec lui-m\u00eame, n\u2019imputant point aux hommes leurs fautes, et il nous a confi\u00e9 la parole de la r\u00e9conciliation. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

Dans le Nouveau Testament, Dieu est appel\u00e9 le Dieu de paix \u00e0 cinq reprises (Romains 15:33 ; 16:20 ; Philippiens 4:9 ; 1 Thessaloniciens 5:23 ; H\u00e9breux 13:20). Le Seigneur J\u00e9sus a promis \u00e0 ses disciples\u00a0:, \u201c Je vous donne ma paix \u201d<\/em> (Jean 14:27). Cette paix vient de la foi\u00a0: \u201c Que le Dieu de l\u2019esp\u00e9rance vous remplisse de toute joie et de toute paix dans la foi, afin que vous abondiez en esp\u00e9rance par la puissance du Saint-Esprit. \u201d<\/em> (Rom. 15:13).<\/p>
