Puis il monta dans l'une des barques, celle de Simon, et lui demanda de s'\u00e9loigner un peu du rivage. Il s'assit alors et, du haut de la barque, il enseignait la foule. Quand il eut fini de parler, il dit \u00e0 Simon\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Avance en eau profonde et jetez vos filets pour p\u00eacher.\u00a0\u201d Simon lui r\u00e9pondit\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Ma\u00eetre, nous avons pein\u00e9 toute la nuit sans rien prendre\u00a0; mais, sur ta parole, je jetterai le filet.\u00a0\u201d

<\/em><\/p>

Alors que nous continuons d'examiner cette rencontre avec le Christ que l'on trouve dans les onze premiers versets de Luc 5, nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 demand\u00e9\u00a0:, \u201c Comment r\u00e9agissons-nous face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chec ? \u201d<\/em> (vv. 1\u20132). Maintenant, demandons-nous, \u201c Comment r\u00e9agissons-nous face \u00e0 l\u2019autorit\u00e9 ? \u201d<\/em> (vv. 3\u20135).<\/p>

Ces p\u00eacheurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s avaient p\u00each\u00e9 toute la nuit sans rien prendre. Sans doute \u00e9taient-ils \u00e9puis\u00e9s par cette longue nuit de labeur et probablement frustr\u00e9s par l'absence de r\u00e9sultats. C'est alors qu'arrive le Seigneur J\u00e9sus \u2013 un pr\u00e9dicateur itin\u00e9rant, charpentier de m\u00e9tier (Marc 6,3) \u2013 et transforme la barque de Pierre en chaire.<\/p>

Le professeur de Bible J. Vernon McGee a dit un jour\u00a0:, \u201c Chaque chaire est comme un bateau de p\u00eache, un endroit o\u00f9 l\u2019on diffuse la Parole de Dieu et o\u00f9 l\u2019on tente d\u2019attraper du poisson. \u201d<\/em> \u00c0 ce moment pr\u00e9cis, le Seigneur J\u00e9sus fait exactement cela : il utilise la barque de Pierre pour enseigner aux foules.<\/p>

Mais l'instruction suivante fut peut-\u00eatre difficile \u00e0 accepter pour Pierre. Apr\u00e8s avoir termin\u00e9 son enseignement, J\u00e9sus lui dit\u00a0:, \u201c Lancez-vous en haute mer et jetez vos filets pour une p\u00eache fructueuse. \u201d<\/em> La r\u00e9action de Peter \u00e9tait compr\u00e9hensible. Il avait probablement pass\u00e9 la majeure partie de sa vie \u00e0 p\u00eacher. Son exp\u00e9rience lui disait qu'essayer \u00e0 nouveau n'avait aucun sens. C'est pourquoi il a r\u00e9pondu\u00a0:, \u201c Ma\u00eetre, nous avons pein\u00e9 toute la nuit et n'avons rien pris. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

Mais Pierre ne s'arr\u00eata pas l\u00e0. Bien que cet ordre aille \u00e0 l'encontre de son exp\u00e9rience, de sa logique et de son \u00e9puisement, il ajouta\u00a0:, \u201c N\u00e9anmoins, sur ta parole, je baisserai le filet. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

Voici une le\u00e7on pour nous : sans le Seigneur J\u00e9sus, nous pouvons peiner toute la nuit et finir avec des filets vides (voir Jean 15:5).<\/p>

Mais lorsque Pierre ob\u00e9it, le r\u00e9sultat fut extraordinaire. Les filets se remplirent tellement qu'ils commenc\u00e8rent \u00e0 se d\u00e9chirer, et les bateaux commenc\u00e8rent \u00e0 couler sous leur poids (vv. 6-7).<\/p>
