Une errance qui a provoqu\u00e9 une temp\u00eate de vent<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201c Mais l\u2019\u00c9ternel fit souffler un grand vent sur la mer, et il y eut une violente temp\u00eate sur la mer, de sorte que le navire \u00e9tait sur le point de se briser. \u201d<\/em>
Jonas 1:4<\/strong><\/p>

Nous connaissons tous l'histoire de Jonas et du gros poisson, mais nous pouvons en tirer de nombreux enseignements. Le livre de Jonas s'articule autour de trois th\u00e8mes principaux\u00a0:<\/p>

  1. Jonas fuyant son appel \u00e0 pr\u00eacher la repentance,<\/p><\/li>

  2. l'histoire du poisson comme figure de la mort et de la r\u00e9surrection du Christ, et<\/p><\/li>

  3. La r\u00e9action singuli\u00e8re de Jonas au repentir des Ninivites.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

    Le livre s'ouvre sur la parole de l'\u00c9ternel adress\u00e9e \u00e0 Jonas, lui donnant ces instructions\u00a0: \u201c L\u00e8ve-toi, va \u00e0 Ninive, la grande ville, et crie contre elle ; car sa m\u00e9chancet\u00e9 est mont\u00e9e jusqu\u2019\u00e0 moi. \u201d<\/em> Contrairement \u00e0 la gr\u00e2ce qui r\u00e9side dans le c\u0153ur d'un Dieu qui est \u201c Il est patient envers nous, ne voulant pas qu\u2019aucun p\u00e9risse, mais que tous parviennent \u00e0 la repentance. \u201d<\/em> (2 Pierre 3:9), Jonas a d\u00e9sob\u00e9i. Au lieu d'ob\u00e9ir, \u201c Jonas se leva pour fuir \u00e0 Tarsis, loin de la pr\u00e9sence de l\u2019\u00c9ternel. Il descendit \u00e0 Jaffa et trouva un navire qui partait pour Tarsis\u00a0; il paya donc le passage et embarqua pour aller avec eux \u00e0 Tarsis, loin de la pr\u00e9sence de l\u2019\u00c9ternel. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

    La d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance a toujours un prix, et elle nous \u00e9loigne toujours de la volont\u00e9 de Dieu. \u00c0 deux reprises au verset 3, nous lisons que Jonas \u201cest descendu.\u201d<\/em> On retrouve cette tendance descendante au verset 5\u00a0: \u201c Mais Jonas \u00e9tait descendu dans les parties les plus basses du navire, s'\u00e9tait couch\u00e9 et dormait profond\u00e9ment. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

    Malgr\u00e9 le c\u0153ur rebelle de Jonas, nous lisons dans le verset d'aujourd'hui\u00a0: \u201c Mais l\u2019\u00c9ternel fit souffler un grand vent sur la mer, et il y eut une violente temp\u00eate sur la mer, de sorte que le navire \u00e9tait sur le point de se briser. \u201d<\/em> Les marins exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s furent saisis de peur, \u00e0 tel point que chacun se mit \u00e0 implorer son dieu. Lorsqu'ils virent Jonas dormir pendant la temp\u00eate, ils furent \u00e9tonn\u00e9s et dirent\u00a0:, \u201c Que veux-tu dire, toi qui dors ? L\u00e8ve-toi, invoque ton Dieu ; peut-\u00eatre aura-t-il piti\u00e9 de nous, afin que nous ne p\u00e9rissions pas. \u201d<\/em><\/p>

    Lorsqu'ils d\u00e9couvrirent que la temp\u00eate \u00e9tait la cons\u00e9quence de la d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance de Jonas, ils furent saisis d'une peur immense et dirent\u00a0:, \u201c Pourquoi avez-vous fait cela ? \u201d<\/em> Car Jonas leur avait avou\u00e9 avoir fui la pr\u00e9sence de l\u2019\u00c9ternel. La temp\u00eate redoubla de violence (versets 11 et 13), et au lieu de se repentir, Jonas pr\u00e9f\u00e9ra se laisser jeter par-dessus bord et p\u00e9rir.<\/p>

    Mais l\u2019\u00c9ternel avait un dessein et agissait dans la vie de son serviteur. Il a aussi un dessein et un plan pour votre vie. Ne fuyez pas votre Dieu\u00a0; tournez-vous vers lui et laissez-le agir en vous et \u00e0 travers vous.<\/p>

    Ancre pour aujourd'hui<\/strong>
    Le Seigneur conna\u00eet ceux qui lui appartiennent.
