Lorsque nous citons ce verset, nous avons souvent tendance \u00e0 le sortir de son contexte pour souligner la merveilleuse v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de l&#039;amour infini de Dieu envers nous. Mais en relisant ce passage, nous d\u00e9couvrons un autre aspect de cet amour extraordinaire qui le rend d&#039;autant plus pr\u00e9cieux \u00e0 nos yeux.<\/p><p data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"1141\">Notre verset oppose l&#039;amour de Dieu au type d&#039;amour mentionn\u00e9 au verset 7\u00a0: <em data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"861\">\u201c On ne mourrait gu\u00e8re pour un juste ; peut-\u00eatre oserait-on m\u00eame mourir pour un homme bon. \u201d<\/em> En grec, ce verset se lit litt\u00e9ralement ainsi :, <em data-start=\"904\" data-end=\"958\">\u201c Pour le bien, quelqu\u2019un oserait m\u00eame mourir. \u201d<\/em> L\u2019article d\u00e9fini \u201c le \u201d figure bien dans le texte original. Paul affirme que si un tel homme existe r\u00e9ellement \u2014 quelqu\u2019un d\u2019exceptionnellement bon \u2014, peut-\u00eatre que quelqu\u2019un serait pr\u00eat \u00e0 mourir pour lui.<\/p><p data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1506\">Paul a d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9clar\u00e9 plus t\u00f4t dans l&#039;\u00e9p\u00eetre aux Romains que <em data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1406\">\u201c Il n\u2019y a point de juste, pas m\u00eame un seul ; il n\u2019y a personne qui comprenne ; il n\u2019y a personne qui cherche Dieu. Tous se sont d\u00e9tourn\u00e9s ; tous sont devenus inutiles ; il n\u2019y en a aucun qui fasse le bien, pas m\u00eame un seul. \u201d<\/em> (Rom. 3:10-12). Mais il y en avait un que l&#039;\u00c9criture appelle <em data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1490\">\u201c le Juste \u201d<\/em> (1 Jean 2:1).<\/p><p data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1688\">Comme nous l&#039;avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu, la condition humaine se r\u00e9sume \u00e0 l&#039;impuissance, l&#039;impi\u00e9t\u00e9, le p\u00e9ch\u00e9 et l&#039;inimiti\u00e9 de Dieu. Pourquoi quelqu&#039;un donnerait-il sa vie pour de tels individus\u00a0?<\/p><p data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"2020\">L\u2019expression \u201c Mais Dieu \u201d dans notre verset oppose notre faible amour humain \u00e0 l\u2019amour infini de Dieu. Elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le que Dieu a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 nous aimer alors que nous n\u2019avions rien \u00e0 lui offrir en retour. Notre Dieu est Celui qui est <em data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"2006\">\u201c Le Seigneur, le Seigneur Dieu, mis\u00e9ricordieux et compatissant, lent \u00e0 la col\u00e8re, riche en bont\u00e9 et en v\u00e9rit\u00e9\u2026 \u201d<\/em> (Ex. 34:6).<\/p><p data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2471\">Notre verset d&#039;aujourd&#039;hui met en lumi\u00e8re le caract\u00e8re m\u00eame de notre Dieu \u2014 Celui qui <em data-start=\"2091\" data-end=\"2262\">\u201c Il ne tarde pas \u00e0 accomplir sa promesse, comme certains le pensent, mais il est patient envers vous, ne voulant pas qu\u2019aucun p\u00e9risse, mais que tous parviennent \u00e0 la repentance. \u201d<\/em>(2 Pierre 3:9). Pierre nous dit aussi\u00a0:, <em data-start=\"2298\" data-end=\"2454\">\u201c Christ aussi a souffert une fois pour toutes pour les p\u00e9ch\u00e9s, lui le juste pour les injustes, afin de nous amener \u00e0 Dieu, ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 mis \u00e0 mort dans la chair, mais rendu vivant par l\u2019Esprit. \u201d<\/em> (1 Pierre 3:18). La Croix faisait pleinement partie du plan d&#039;amour divin de Dieu.\u00a0<\/p><p data-start=\"2473\" data-end=\"2606\"><strong>Ancre du jour :<\/strong><br \/>L\u2019amour de Dieu est aussi grand que sa puissance.
