Mira, he ordenado a una viuda de all\u00ed que te sustente\u2019.\u201d<br \/><strong>1 Reyes 17:8-9<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>El\u00edas se hab\u00eda presentado ante el rey Acab y le hab\u00eda transmitido el mensaje de que no habr\u00eda roc\u00edo ni lluvia sino por su palabra. Pero entonces el Se\u00f1or le orden\u00f3 que se escondiera junto al arroyo Querit, donde los cuervos lo alimentar\u00edan ma\u00f1ana y tarde. Sin embargo, las lecciones sobre el valor de la vida oculta no hab\u00edan terminado para \u00e9l. El Se\u00f1or hab\u00eda usado aves impuras para alimentar a El\u00edas, y ahora iba a usar a una pobre viuda que se encontraba en una situaci\u00f3n desesperada.<\/p><p>El\u00edas obedece y se encuentra con la viuda en las puertas de la ciudad, recogiendo le\u00f1a para hacer fuego para la \u00faltima comida de ella y su hijo. Le pide: \u201cTr\u00e1eme un poco de agua en un recipiente para que pueda beber\u201d (v. 10). La viuda comienza a responder a su petici\u00f3n a pesar de su propio sufrimiento. El\u00edas va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 y le pide que traiga pan con el agua. La viuda responde: \u201cPor la vida del Se\u00f1or tu Dios, no tengo nada horneado, solo un pu\u00f1ado de harina en una tinaja y un poco de aceite en una jarra. Y ahora estoy recogiendo un par de le\u00f1a para ir a prepararlo para m\u00ed y mi hijo, para que podamos comerlo y morir\u201d (v. 12). Entonces El\u00edas le asegura: \u201cPorque as\u00ed dice el Se\u00f1or, el Dios de Israel: la tinaja de harina no se agotar\u00e1, ni la jarra de aceite se vaciar\u00e1, hasta el d\u00eda en que el Se\u00f1or env\u00ede lluvia sobre la tierra\u201d (v. 14). Esta parte de su historia termina con una bendici\u00f3n: \u201cEntonces ella se fue e hizo conforme a la palabra de El\u00edas; y ella, \u00e9l y su familia comieron durante muchos d\u00edas\u201d (v. 15).<\/p><p>\u00bfCu\u00e1l fue el punto de inflexi\u00f3n de esta historia? Fue cuando El\u00edas pudo decir: \u201cAs\u00ed dice el Se\u00f1or, el Dios de Israel\u201d. El\u00edas hab\u00eda aprendido a vivir una vida de entrega total al esconderse. Hab\u00eda aprendido que poco entregado al Se\u00f1or es mucho en sus manos. Entonces, juntos, El\u00edas y la viuda aprendieron la verdad del Salmo 73:25-26: \u201c\u00bfA qui\u00e9n tengo en los cielos sino a ti? Y fuera de ti no hay nada en la tierra que desee. Mi carne y mi coraz\u00f3n desfallecen; pero Dios es la fortaleza de mi coraz\u00f3n y mi herencia para siempre\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Les infundi\u00f3 esperanza El\u00edas le asegur\u00f3 que nada les faltar\u00eda \u201chasta que el Se\u00f1or enviara lluvia sobre la tierra\u201d, y experimentaron la ayuda del Se\u00f1or cuando \u201cla tinaja de harina no se agot\u00f3, ni la vasija de aceite se vaci\u00f3, conforme a la palabra del Se\u00f1or\u201d.
