Conocemos la historia, pero lo que me asombra es que, mientras Jon\u00e1s hu\u00eda de Dios, \u00a1sab\u00eda que Dios era paciente! Miren lo que dice en Jon\u00e1s 4:1-2: \u201cPero esto le disgust\u00f3 mucho a Jon\u00e1s, y se enoj\u00f3. Entonces or\u00f3 al Se\u00f1or y dijo: \u2018\u00a1Ah, Se\u00f1or! \u00bfNo fue esto lo que dije cuando a\u00fan estaba en mi tierra? Por eso hu\u00ed antes a Tarsis, porque s\u00e9 que t\u00fa eres un Dios clemente y misericordioso, lento para la ira y grande en amor, que te arrepientes del mal\u2019\u201d. \u00a1Jon\u00e1s sab\u00eda que este era el Dios de la paciencia!<\/p><p>Pablo le recuerda a Timoteo y a todo predicador: \u201c\u00a1Predica la palabra! Insiste a tiempo y fuera de tiempo. Convence, reprende, exhorta con toda paciencia y ense\u00f1anza\u201d (2 Timoteo 4:2). A veces esperamos que los feligreses o los nuevos creyentes lo entiendan de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana, pero olvidamos cu\u00e1nto tiempo nos llev\u00f3 a nosotros comprenderlo y cu\u00e1n paciente fue Dios con nosotros.<\/p><p>Todos hemos experimentado la paciencia de Dios en nuestras vidas. A veces incluso les decimos a los dem\u00e1s: \u201cTengan paciencia conmigo; Dios a\u00fan no ha terminado conmigo\u201d. Lo curioso es que queremos que los dem\u00e1s tengan paciencia con nosotros, \u00a1pero no siempre estamos dispuestos a ser pacientes con los dem\u00e1s! Sin embargo, si estamos llenos y guiados por el Esp\u00edritu Santo, la paciencia, o longanimidad, ser\u00e1 una de las evidencias de tal gu\u00eda (G\u00e1latas 5:22).<\/p><p>En Efesios 4:2-3 se nos exhorta: \u201cCon toda humildad y mansedumbre, con paciencia, soport\u00e1ndoos unos a otros en amor, procurando mantener la unidad del Esp\u00edritu en el v\u00ednculo de la paz\u201d. Si nos motiva el amor que se ha derramado en nosotros, entonces debemos demostrarlo. Una de las cosas que leemos en el cap\u00edtulo del amor (1 Corintios 13) es que \u201cel amor es paciente\u201d.\u201c<\/p><p>Pablo sab\u00eda lo importantes que son la paciencia y la longanimidad, y las menciona repetidamente en sus escritos al pueblo de Dios. En Colosenses 1:9-11 or\u00f3: \u201cPor esta raz\u00f3n, desde el d\u00eda que lo o\u00edmos, no cesamos de orar por ustedes, pidiendo que sean llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad con toda sabidur\u00eda e inteligencia espiritual, para que anden como es digno del Se\u00f1or, agrad\u00e1ndole en todo, dando fruto en toda buena obra y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios; fortalecidos con todo poder, conforme a la potencia de su gloria, para toda paciencia y longanimidad con gozo\u201d. M\u00e1s adelante en el mismo libro dice: \u201cPor tanto, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, rev\u00edstanse de tierna misericordia, bondad, humildad, mansedumbre y paciencia; soport\u00e1ndose unos a otros, y perdon\u00e1ndose unos a otros si alguno tiene queja contra otro; como Cristo los perdon\u00f3, as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n deben hacerlo ustedes\u201d (Colosenses 3:12-13).<\/p><p>Quiz\u00e1s una de las razones por las que tenemos tantas relaciones rotas, tantos problemas en las familias y tantos problemas en las congregaciones es que hemos perdido de vista la paciencia del Dios de la paciencia. \u00a1Quiz\u00e1s esta sea una de las razones por las que nos apresuramos a descartar y despreciar a los dem\u00e1s!<\/p><p><strong>Lo m\u00e1s destacado de hoy:<\/strong><br \/>\u00a1Que cada vez lo veamos m\u00e1s como el Dios de la paciencia, y que \u00c9l nos ayude a mostrar esa misma paciencia los unos con los otros!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Patience of God Think of just how patient God was with Jonah.
