Yo soy tu escudo, tu recompensa sobremanera grande\u2019.\u201d<br \/>G\u00e9nesis 15:1<\/em><\/p><p>En el cap\u00edtulo catorce, Abraham acababa de experimentar dos grandes victorias. Primero, rescat\u00f3 a Lot, y luego resisti\u00f3 la tentaci\u00f3n del rey de Sodoma. Pudo lograr ambas cosas gracias a su fe en Dios y a los recursos que le proporcion\u00f3 Melquisedec, rey de Salem, quien representa al Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas.<\/p><p>Despu\u00e9s de estos acontecimientos, la palabra del Se\u00f1or lleg\u00f3 a Abram, prepar\u00e1ndolo para otro tipo de conflicto, una lucha m\u00e1s interna, un tiempo de \u201chorror y gran oscuridad\u201d (v. 12). Los sucesos profetizados en los vers\u00edculos 13-14 se cumplieron en G\u00e9nesis 46 y a lo largo del libro del \u00c9xodo, cuando la naci\u00f3n de Israel se convirti\u00f3 en extranjera en Egipto.<\/p><p>A menudo, tras grandes victorias, el enemigo ataca sembrando dudas, temores e incertidumbre. Pero en este vers\u00edculo vemos c\u00f3mo el Se\u00f1or anima a Abram mediante su Palabra, dici\u00e9ndole: \u201cNo temas\u2026 Yo soy tu escudo, tu recompensa inmensa\u201d. El Se\u00f1or quer\u00eda que Abram confiara en \u00c9l, no en sus victorias ni en sus propias habilidades. Abram acababa de rechazar los regalos del rey de Sodoma, que representa a este mundo. \u00a1La fe que vence el miedo es la fe que se apoya en la Palabra de Dios! La Palabra del Se\u00f1or llega en ese momento y dice: \u201cNo temas\u201d. Esta es la primera vez que se pronuncian estas palabras en las Escrituras, pero se repiten una y otra vez.<\/p><p>El remedio de Dios para nuestro temor es recordarnos qui\u00e9n es \u00c9l: \u201c\u00a1Yo soy tu escudo, tu recompensa inmensa!\u201d. \u00c9l es el gran YO SOY, y \u00c9l basta para satisfacer todas nuestras necesidades y disipar toda duda. \u00a1Solo necesitamos aquietarnos y saber que \u00c9l es Dios!<\/p><p>Tambi\u00e9n le asegur\u00f3 a Abram que \u00c9l era su escudo protector y su recompensa inmensa por provisi\u00f3n. Como nuestro Escudo, \u00c9l es capaz de apagar todos los dardos de fuego de la duda y el temor que se nos presenten. Debemos levantar el escudo de la fe para tener victoria, y \u00c9l ser\u00e1 nuestro Escudo. Pero no solo eso, \u00c9l es capaz de reemplazar todos nuestros temores y dudas con su provisi\u00f3n para el camino. La provisi\u00f3n en la que quiere que nos ocupemos es \u00c9l mismo. \u00a1\u00c9l es nuestra recompensa inmensa!
