Porque lo que m\u00e1s tem\u00eda me ha sobrevenido, y lo que tem\u00eda me ha sucedido.\u201d<br \/><strong>Job 3:24\u201325<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Al leer los primeros cap\u00edtulos del libro de Job, aprendemos que Job era un hombre \u00edntegro, que reverenciaba a Dios y se apartaba del mal. Era irreprochable y recto. Satan\u00e1s intent\u00f3 desacreditarlo ante Dios y se le permiti\u00f3 quitarle todo lo que pose\u00eda. Job perdi\u00f3 a sus hijos y su ganado, y luego Satan\u00e1s lo atac\u00f3 f\u00edsicamente, aunque no se le permiti\u00f3 quitarle la vida. \u201cEn todo esto\u201d, se nos dice, \u201cJob no pec\u00f3 ni culp\u00f3 a Dios de nada\u201d (Job 1:22). La \u00fanica respuesta de Job fue: \u201c\u00bfAcaso aceptaremos de Dios lo bueno, y no lo malo? En todo esto, Job no pec\u00f3 con sus labios\u2018.\u2019<\/p><p>Resulta interesante, sin embargo, o\u00edr a Job decir: \u201cLo que m\u00e1s tem\u00eda me ha sobrevenido, y lo que me aterraba me ha sucedido\u201d. Ten\u00eda un temor preconcebido de que algo as\u00ed pudiera ocurrir. No debemos permitir que el miedo se siembre en nuestra mente, influy\u00e9ndonos y llen\u00e1ndonos de preocupaci\u00f3n, ansiedad o temor.<\/p><p>Una y otra vez leemos en las Escrituras: \u201cNo teman\u201d, \u201cNo se preocupen\u201d y \u201cNo se inquieten\u201d. Estas exhortaciones aparecen repetidamente porque el temor fue una de las consecuencias de la entrada del pecado en este mundo. Debemos recordar que este tipo de temor no proviene de Dios. De hecho, leemos: \u201cPor cuanto los hijos participaron de carne y sangre, \u00e9l tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 de lo mismo, para destruir por medio de la muerte al que ten\u00eda el imperio de la muerte, esto es, al diablo, y librar a todos los que, por temor a la muerte, estaban durante toda su vida sujetos a servidumbre\u201d (Hebreos 2:14-15). El Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas tambi\u00e9n declar\u00f3: \u201cAs\u00ed que, si el Hijo los libera, ser\u00e1n verdaderamente libres\u201d (Juan 8:36).<\/p><p>Timoteo ten\u00eda tendencia a ser t\u00edmido y a dejarse dominar por el miedo, como muchos de nosotros. Pero Pablo le record\u00f3: \u201cPorque Dios no nos ha dado un esp\u00edritu de temor, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio\u201d (2 Timoteo 1:7). En Filipenses 4:6-7, Pablo nos recuerda que la manera de disfrutar de esta paz no es ceder ante nuestros miedos, sino confiar y depender de Dios: \u201cNo se inquieten por nada; m\u00e1s bien, en toda ocasi\u00f3n, con oraci\u00f3n y ruego, presenten sus peticiones a Dios y denle gracias.
